    Villa hero IMO. He's always given 100% and is one of most skillful players. He's scored some stunning goals and genuinely looks proud to wear the Villa kit. Because of his pricetag I feel that a lot of fans expected more from him..... I don't care how much he cost, he has a great touch, great heading ability and deft finsihing - if only we could've strengthened the team around him whilst he was at his peak, maybe then everyone would have seen the best of JPA.

    Freddy Bouma without a shadow of a doubt - now settled and looking like a decent (if not barrel shaped) left back... So chuffed he's playing well as he seems to be a nice guy and good professional

    Gabby Agbonlahor for me - slightly obvious choice but he's played out of position for a large part of the season but has taken positives from that experience and is now looking good upfront!

    The Mirror (!) today has reported we've had a £7m bid for Bellamy turned down by liverpool.... obviously strikers are a priority for MON, looks like JPA and possibly Moore will be out this summer

    But does he???? IMO he only cares about himself.... otherwise why would he constantly bring the club into disrepute by his immature shanigans???? Danny Murphy would not be ideal but would be better than Hendire. I would like us to move for Reo-Coker.

    With MON stating we're still on the look out for more players - I hope he goes in for Nigel Reo-Coker. He's certainly a player who could improve our central midfield either in a 4-4-2 or 4-3-2-1 formation. With his agent basically stating he wants to leave, Wet Spam may be tempted to offload him sooner rather than leter to avoid any dressing room unrest etc

    We're halfway through the window only - there's plenty of time and i predict that the main brunt of action will begin next Monday following the weekends games. Mainly due to the fact that there isn't another Prem game for 10-11 days and clubs will have plenty of time to strike up deals and allow the new players to train for a substantial amount of time with the squad. It will take one decent transfer to spark it all off - I hope it's us that get's our targets!

    He'd cause defences enough problems to allow Gabby and Luke to bang the goals in from open play and he'd be the target for corners and free-kicks. I'd love to see him at the club - surprised he's only 27, seems he's been around for years!

    I mentioned John Carew the other day (and had to put the tin hat on for the responses from several other posters!) I think he'd be the big target man to cause defences problems and allow us to play the 4-3-3 with Gaby and Luke on either flank! (it's possible as Lyon want Baros and Carew is available!!)

    No they won't because teams have more time to line up replacements. Maybe O'Neill has a deal with Jol that if they sell us Defoe we wont stand in their way for Bent or is that being too positive? to add to that hopeful 'conspiracy'! To ensure Bent goes to Spurs so we get Defoe in return, we offer Baros to Chelski to end their interest in Bent!!!!! hmmmmm :winkold: :winkold: :winkold:

    If Viduka goes anywhere it'll be to the Barcodes IMO and I think he's the wrong side of 30 for us. Good player 'WHEN' fit.

    its fun on here tonight stop ringing the hotel though please guys, he's turned up at The Barnt Green Inn with the General ring there instead (999 and ask for the police). He couldn't get into The Barnt Green Inn as he was wearing trainers - by all accounts he's returned to the hotel sulking and raiding the mini-bar :winkold:

    How old is he??? must be 31-33? I think MON's playing things very close to his chest - we'll have deals being sorted as we speak! (fingers crossed :winkold: )

    The Egyptian lad has been you-tubed! It appears he's a midfielder/forward who actually is willing to take on players and shoot!!! He's the montage - Aboutrieka I know montages can easily make any player look good but he's supposedly hot property in African football!

    I'd be happy with him to be honest but agree we need a poacher (a la Dean Saunders probably our last great goal nabber)

    I see Spuds are sniffing around Ashley Young from Watford for £3m - he'd definately be a decent shout for us considering our current wide players! I'd also like to see Barton at the club - sure he has obvious issues but he's a battler and can weigh in with the odd goal or two. But IMO our priority is the right hand side both in midfield and attack, the young RB Stearman from Leicester has impressed me this season and would be worth giving a go. I personally can't see us signing SWP though - we're not 'high-profile' enough or in a place where he has any ties etc - nice to dream though!
