We will improve. I didnt expect 2 goals from us at the point we went 3-0 down, yet we got 2. But its not good enough and we simply have to win the next 2 games, otherwise it will be a very long season for us. I don't think you can ask for a better next match tbh, the team in the league that will be more passive than us in the next game is probably only newcastle, so we are lucky in that respect. Bailey needs to start and we need to be reactive i.e. if something isnt working then Dean MUST change it asap rather than waiting and allow the other team to compound upon our error

Prime Facie, 3-2 dosen't look bad. But that result flatters us, we have been woeful today and we all know it. big improvements needed going forward for sure.

Be proactive rather than reactive. anticipate and think ahead instead of letting the other team take the advantage.

Everton and Brighton both overturned deficits to take the lead. We don't seem able to do that regardless of the manager, the playing staff, the owner etc. Maybe in the championship, but rarely at the top level. When it happens its a big shock due to the rarity. I wish we had the luck of other teams

I honestly think that was very lucky on our part. I doubt we would bounce back up again like they did, that is not the villa way. we would have found a way to shoot ourselves in the foot and make it difficult for ourselves.

we're looking a lot better with another midfielder. A bit more experience and composure and he might have buried that. Faint hopes of a second half revival here

Thank god Targett is off. Give him a breather and against Newcastle I'm sure he will be fine. Hopefully we see us control the flow of the game and impose ourselves on Watford. Lets make use of the possession we have to create danger to the opposing team UTV

Been really impressed with the physicality and athleticism of Watford's midfield. we really do need to get a move on and sign a physical beast who is capable of driving forward rather than treating the ball like a hot potato or making a misplaced pass. That is they key to starting moves and until a player like that is in the starting line up, we will continue to have these inconsistent midfield performances.

Get Bailey on at some point in the second half. He will be the shock factor and could be the man to deliver for us. Would even bring Wesley on to hold the ball up or get some fouls. Can't be any worse than we are so far. Definitely leave Ings on though as he is capable of popping up

we are missing watkins pressure up front. he would force them into making some mistakes at least. as it is, the team making the mistakes is all our players.

Good to see we tried a long throw in - Brentford made great use of them yesterday which got them the 2nd goal. That 2nd goal can be the difference between a draw and a win sometimes. Love to see more of it throughout the season

Sarr is their Grealish - you stop him, you stop the team. Need to stick some players on him and compete physically with him to make him hesitate

We have to pass and move like the watford midfield. they look a lot more athletic and dynamic than ours. thats not acceptable considering the outlay. must do better
