    I think he'll be the same as Eto'o. Join a top team and he'll truly shine IMO. Eto'o truly shone when he was playing for Mallorca and has maintained a high level at Barça. Torres plays for a supposedly big Spanish club and he has played a number of games for Spain. Maybe he will shine if you surround him with superior players. He certainly seems to have no effect on the presumably inferior players that have surrounded him up to now. Oh all right. He finally had a couple of half-decent games in the World Cup a year ago, which everybody saw. Eto'o shines, and consistently. Torres may one day.

    He really struggled in spain so I dont know what to make of him. He was at Barca at the same time as rochemback and look how well he's done at boro. Barça was a bit of a poisoned chalice for wingers and especially Portuguese wingers after Figo left. First Simão, then Quaresma suffered by comparison.

    And although Bent is certainly better than most strikers we could sign, is he a great deal better than Luke or Gabby? I have my doubts. Luke's been out most of this season and Gabby out of position.

    link Not good enough for West Ham but good enough for some on here. True that what we really need is someone who smashes people in the face in training and stubs cigars out in players' eyes.
