He's been head and shoulders our best player for all his faults he's stopped at least 2 goals.

At least 1, the header. Possibly the offside miss, with his slower pace might have kept him onside and he'd probably have finished it.

Expecting big changes at HT

Olsen - -1 - dire, would prefer Marshall to play Young - 4 - looks headless and made a lot of mistakes. Not helped by our lack of width. Konsa - 4 - very lucky to not have given away 2 goals with sloppy play and looks generally off the pace Ming's - 8 - been imperious so far Digne - 6 - ok McGinn -6 - a few sloppy passes a few nice passes still losing possession too easy and often Luiz -3 - really poor today Buendia - 6 - done ok but looks very slow and weak. Kamara - 7 - done quite well but not helped by those around him Bailey -7- some really nice moments, but probably should have scored Watkins - 3 - he's there to score goals, should have had 2 or 3. Such a poor finisher.

Never a penalty in a million years. Had Digne not moved, the Brighton player would still have run into him and gone down. If we ever get to a stage where running into someone in the penalty area is a stonewall penalty, the game will be done - ridiculous. Carraghers commentary on it was also embarrassing.

He needed to see them in a competitive game so this was better than in the league. I'm ok with the performance on the most part, and I'm fine with the result. Emery is going to make mistakes as he learns what the squad can do. He now knows we need a new backup keeper and a mcginn upgrade. Think he knew we needed better defenders already. I don't think the performance was too bad. Manager got to see what the 2nd 11 is about. 3 mistakes by the goalkeeper and some poor communication aside, we were in the game all the way to the end.

I fully expect relegation tbh I don't think this group of players is salvageable and the owners deserve to lose a tinne of cash for presiding over it. Their poor decisions have led to this. Bad decision after bad decision.

Konsa was much, much worse
