  1. So? They all qualify under the rules and want to play for Ireland, I don't see the issue.

Do you have a problem with Sterling and Berahino being in the English squad? or Hargreaves, Barnes when they were playing?

Wouldn't you be annoyed if you were an Irish player and your place in the squad was taken by an Englishman?

Stephen Quinn even called Jack Grealish a plastic paddy when we played against Hull.

I have no problem with Sterling and Berahino. I wouldn't have taken Hargreaves or Barnes though.

McCarthy out. The Scots will have to focus all their booing on McGeady.

Don't Barnes and Sterling have pretty much the same back story though? Both were born in Kingston, Jamaica, and both moved to England at an early age (Barnes at 12, Sterling at 5).

Yeah I basically go by their accent. Sterling has a London accent whereas Barnes has a Jamaican one.

Also there is a big difference between 5 and 12. Sterling spent most of his childhood in England whereas Barnes mostly grew up in Jamaica.

    So it's completely arbitrary then?

No don't be stupid. It's based on accents silly.

  2. Just started that old Aaaron Sorkin series Studio 60 on Sunset Boulevard

Are you still watching The Leftovers?

I've just finished episode 6 and I still can't decide if I actually like it or not. It's a very odd and depressing programme, but equally it's intriguing and superbly made. I can't tell if it's actually going to go anywhere though?

    Anyone else watching it?

I finished the first series. I echo exactly what you said. I really liked it.

    Don't be expecting any answers.

  3.

yep, other than the fact that a m cubed of helium generates a lift of around 700g, meaning that you would need around 100m cubed worth of helium to lift your average man, it was a great idea...

You can't really go shitting on the science of a world spawned from a comic book ! Superman exists in Bruce Wayne's universe you know !

When exactly is Gotham sent. I can't figure if its the past or modern day.

Some of the uniforms/style looks 20/30 years ago which which is consistant with batman exisitng at the current time and some of the stuff appears lo-text. But at the same time they talk about mobile phones at times and some other modern tech stuff?

  4. I ve yet to see her though. Some one said it could be Ripper Street either both are filmed here regularly.

If you read about a sniper taking out a naked man in Dublin castle today it was probably me.

  5. Basically I don't think today should have changed anybody's opinion of the guy.

If you wanted him sacked last week, then you should still want him sacked.

If you wanted him to stay then you should still want him to stay.

I don't think he can be blamed for today. but that doesn't mean it was some magical turn around that should save him his job. It was a competent performance from the team until we lost a player. But that doesn't wipe out the rest of the run of results we've had.

I keep seeing this repeated that we can't blame him for today but we can. I not saying it is or isnt his fault but you could say if he had made us a better team over his tenure in charge we would have beaten a poor Spurs team today.

We were poor today and a few bad ref descisions might paper over the cracks. We were at home and playing a team short of confidence and basically tired to play one up front counter attacking. Because of Lamberts coaching and tactics over the last 2 years thats all we can really play. Same reason our ball retention was so bad. Same reason we had one shot on target all game.

There were to many familar things in todays game to blame it on just bad luck. Spurs had far better chances that us and had more of them. If were being honest and not staring through Claret and Blue stained glasses the only real decision that we can feel agrieved about is Mason not being sent off.

Today was just another symptom of the malaise we have been suffering from for the last 2 years.

  6. Forget about the corner and not marking for it, go back about 4-5 seconds for the free kick for second goal and he is standing being lazy in the middle not pressurising the spurs player 3 yards in front of him or putting in a tackle.

Im finished with this lazy waster.

That wasnt the only instance of it. He jogged around as they walked out of defence several times and didnt go near or put any pressure on the ball carrier.

For the one decent run he did make why did he stop he had Verthongen who was already booked backed up on the edge of the penalty area.

  7. started some new ones -

the flash - thought it was ok, i dont know anything about the flash so im not sure who the characters are, never watched arrow either, but its was instantly better than -

gotham - which so far is boring IMO

leftovers - good start, very intriguing, not sure where they'll go with it, hopefully not down the him being crazy route

the knick - not for the feint hearted! the surgery scenes are very graphic, the racism side story is good, owen's accent is all over the shop though

I really enjoyed the leftovers watched the entire series in two days. Not everyone's cup of tea but It really hooked me in.

  8. Is it just me or does Lacey Turner seem like she'd ride you until your cock dropped off?

Wasnt she caught before having sex on the floor of a hotel corridor?

    So thats a yes.

  9. I am playing career mode for the last time as Villa and with 10 games left in the season, Clark said he was unsettled. Then with 1 match left, he says he needs to leave because he feels homesick. He grew up in Bedforshire! Plus he has been part of Villa's youth team since he was just a child. FFS EA

Whats worse is when a player says he has to leave because hes homesick and then the club sells him to one of your rivals.

  10. Why have I not seen this before?

This is the greatest thing I ve ever seen on the internet. I ve watched about an hour so far.

I m not sure if its a parody he's doing or a work of genius. Looking at the videos of him doing commentry I m not sure he knows either.

  11. Question for the clever people. I have been asked to send in payslips to go towards some funding. They have asked for week 53 (which occurs in a leap year, right?) - but I only have week 52 and then 4 (paid monthly). My week 52 shows pay for the year.

They are insistent I have to send week 53!

Any ideas? I'm sure 52 is fine, after all 53 does not exist!!!!

Depending on the day you get paid sometimes there can be 53 pay days in a year with your last check for a previous year coming in Jan of the following year or your first pay check for the following year coming in December.

In ireland it will say on your P60 if you have 53 pay dates or not. Not a clue about the English equivalent.
