    Playing him where?

It's a conundrum, but he's not going to lose all his ability between now and the end of the season. We might need them, so sending them on loan at such a crucial time could turn out be an awful decision.

I predict we will see more of him and RHM from the bench.

Anywhere across the front line as a sub at this stage. If you want the best out of him you ve got to start giving him a chance. Hes had one league appearance as a sub this year and a game in the cup. Onomah for example a player thats not even ours has 17 appearances.

I m not saying hes a superstar or the next best thing but if hes going to develop he needs to be playing and not with the kids. Whether thats with us or on loan. He looks to much of a talent to leave him where he is.

I think 5 of their shots were Carayol or whatever his name was cutting in from the left and then smashing the ball 40 yards over.

But yeah, they were waaaaay better with their shots than us(!).

Your cleay dont understand how stats work then my friend and really shouldnt post them up to back your point when they do the opposite.

Forest were really, really good at passing the ball around the back and in midfield but creating **** all.  These stats pretty much reflect that.

You mean the stats that show they had more shots, more shots on target and more corners than us. Away from home to?

  4. Finally finished the Defenders what an absolutely disappointing piece of muck.

They got everything they possible could have wrong.

The story was bad, the writing was bad, the villians were poor. Danny Rand the ultimate warrior continually does stupid things and gets his assed kicked.

One of his scenes reminded me of Doughal and the do not press the red button on the airplane scene in father ted.

    Just a huge disappointment overall.

Only one episode left now of ...

    the_leftovers_title_sequence_screengrab_

I recommend it.  Season 3 has 98% on Rotten Tomatoes and overall the show has 90%.  It's an interesting premise.

Looking for a new show now.  I've watched ep. 1 of Ozark but I'm not a fan of Jason Bateman playing the character Jason Bateman in everything, so I might well drop it.

I'm down to Rick & Morty now and I've all but caught up on season 3 (trying not to binge them too much :))

I forgot about Preacher.  I'll catch up on that :thumb:

The leftovers was up there  with one of the best shows I ve ever seen up untill the last two episodes. I thought they dropped the  ball completely on them and sort of left a bad slant on the entire series for me as a result.

  6. Didnt think he had a great game today. He had one or two nice moments in the second half but apart from that you wouldnt even have known he was on the pitch.

While Hutton was roasted he offered nothing defensively on that wing at all either.

Nope.  Not made up, you said it in another thread.

If you can't remember than maybe you're the one on the wind up.

    D'oh, foiled.

    Ouch that backfired badly.

Thanks bobzy, you saved me some typing by posting this.  I agree entirely.  If we were dripping in options I would maybe have him being subbed on rather than starting, but the only winger we have that is worth a damn is Adomah (with Elmo injured) and that still leaves another wing with no one on it.  Green is the best option we have, he is going to get better the more he plays and he is doing enough right for me to want to persist with him.  Even Thierry Henry struggled to find the back of the net when he joined Arsenal, he went his first 8 games without a goal and was consistently compare unfavorably with Anelka because he kept snatching at chances.

Missing a few chances now does not mean that Green will never be able to calmly slot the ball home later in his career.  I'd rather have the winger that misses a few chances than Thor, the winger misses trapping the ball.

I think these posts deserve extra likes and a lot of people in the last few pages need to swallow a bit of pride.

Oops probably the fact that we HAD to bring someone with presence  on......but once we did and we stopped conceding ground, i actually though he should have done that sooner.

    tin hat time

Samba came on in the 90th minute. We had arguably long stopped conceding ground by then. In fact since Green game on we had taken the impetus back in the match. This seems to be a false narraitive i ve seen in a few posts now. Samba didnt really do much in the period he came on. In fact he tried a run at one point and looked embarrassing slow and akward. Theres no way he should have come on earlier.

Iron Fist has been renewed for a second series, with Scott Buck, who appears to be rather bad at his job, ditched and replaced by a bloke last involved with Sleepy Hollow... Hmm. Well Buck was bad (see Inhumans above) so better than nothing. Hints Rand might actually have the outfit this time as well.

Not knowing much about the inhumans why is it shit. Trailer looked decent enough.

  11. Finally got to see Wonder Woman tonight and my god was that film over hyped. Maybe I missed something but I was extremely underwhelmed by it.

It suffers from extremely cardboard black and white characters. It's literally full of plot holes and has an extremely poor ending.

It tries hard at times to throw an emotional punch at you but just falls short every time. Gaddot and Pine give decent performances with what they have.

And that much vaunted no mans land scene was just such a let down. Even the action scenes look over CGI.

batman vs superman was arguably a better film.

  12. Didn't Ferguson not have a hugely successful period with Aberdeen. Winning the league three times in seven years, a couple of Scottish cups  And winning a European cup.

It was obvious there was some potential there alright.

That to me, is a brilliant post.....and above all it makes you think.....if you have an open mind that is.

I think the points you make are very, very apt......There are certain things I see, like you have mentioned,  that are not manager in a million years, any manager not just Steve Bruce.....We assume they( managers) sign them, so they must take responsibility for their character, but do they REALLY know their character until they see it at close quarters?

I don't profess to know the answer, but I want a manager thats just left alone to get on with this toxic job and introduce a mindset that is conducive with good football and assemble a bunch of players that resemble the managers doctrine of what he learnt and mirrored  at Old Trafford.

Don't try and pick the apples before the apple tree has grown......He is in the middle of a very tricky rebuild IMO, let him finish it off. The judgment is much too early IMV.

Have a look at Chelsea last year and this year.

  14. Even if he does manage to get us promoted and it's a big if do you honestly see him doing well in the premiership?

His record wouldn't suggest it. So if he does get us up we're more than likely looking at a low finishing or relegating season in the premiership. And we change manager then and start again.

The style of play we currently play and which Bruce has us playing will not get us where we want to be in the long term. Why waste a couple of seasons now before we realise it.

Have to admit I stopped watching after the first season. It was boring as hell.

almost at end of iron fist I'm on episode 11. Started well, then went meh. Hoping fur a good ending. But so far nowhere near as good as daredevil and Jessica jones

I feel your hoping in vain.

  16. There was a time in the first back that the fullback just kicked the ball beyond and beat him for pace. He just strolled after him while the fullback put in a dangerous ball.

He just looks like he doesn't want to be here and doesn't put in the effort.

  17. I saw Ghost in the Shell today. I had seen the original a long long time ago I could barely remember the plot.

I thought the film was very good. It looked very pretty in IMAX and had a nice style to it and some decent action. Only one of the fight scenes at the end really looked CGI when's she's jumping on some bricks other than that the technology was pretty well handled.
