Not saying he is. Just explaining that maybe Jol isn't thinking like you. His strikeforce clearly chooses itself these days. Also, if Darren Bent went to Spurs, would he be THIRD choice?! Will he not be in the same position Defoe currently finds himself. Personally I think we can ALL forget Darren Bent - by ALL I mean (Spurs, Villa, Everton, Portsmouth etc) because Darren Bent will sign for...... Manchester United! Time will tell.

To be honest you can't drop the Berbatov Keane partnership right now. Did they or did they not just win the Player of the Month accolade together?! Don't think Jol would choose anyone right now over them two!

Nice bloke, nice family............... :shock: WOW! Forget him. I love the comments by people at the end. 'Here's hoping he gets a dream move to middlesbrough, Villa or some other no hopers!' Haha, my god, he obviously didn't see us playing his team off the park last week. People are going to be very shocked at what's coming to them from Villa. Barton to Villa would be a dream move for him, but it won't happen now.

I might be mad, but I'd sign Joey Barton. He desperately wants to leave City, and who can blame him?! With our forward thinking, ambitious leaders - MON and Randy, he'll be very impressed, and will want to be a part of it. That's his main grievance with City, they are not matching his own ambition!

Ahh. Nah, nothing in this for me. With them seeming to be getting taken over aswel, I think Manchester City are CLOSED right now for transfers. Should he go though, it won't be to Aston Villa FC.

No. Maybe in O'leary's era! Not this one. Not for me I'm afraid. He's playing well at the moment because he wants a new contract and he's in the shop window. Hasn't done anything for years!

Leighton Baines anyone?! Would prove a tasty battle between himself and Bouma. Doing nothing at Wigan. Joey Barton would be a great signing. As for Bellamy - Hmmm, undecided completely. Would like Boruc, but I do still rate Sorensen.

I don't post on this thread, I'm merely a reader but I would LOVE to be able to show my appreciation for the people involved in the new setup at Villa! Just want to give Mr Lerner a right good clap, he's a real hero to us Villa fans, he has given us some pride back and shown us the light at the end of a very very dark tunnel! Would love this to happen sometime soon. Take Care General.

I'm not thinking Chelsea millions, but the fact that we went out and signed Young for £9m without any real hassell, and Petrov for £6.5m would suggest that Randy will back MON in the region of those sums. I can see FIVE £7m players coming in, evaluating at £35m - which to Chelsea is a player and a half ;-)

Source, have I missed something? Was mentioned somewhere a few pages ago. I would say we have more than this to be honest. The way MON has been talking would suggest this. It's going to be a big summer.

I think it's a shame that Charlton look as though they're staying up. If Fulham lose today, they are down! Not going to win any of their games after todays. That would suggest no Darren Bent, unless Charlton decide to cash in on him? Tv money though could put an end to that. As for Defoe, have always liked to maybe see him here, but I'm a bit undecided now, with the form of Gabby and the clear ability Moore possesses, not sure.
