  1. You'll find he was training with the rest of the Spurs squad at their training ground in North London or has he been cloned?! What time? What does he drive?! Did you see him? Didn't think so. Turns out it wasn't a fact Awol Just leave them alone, we knew it wasn't happening anyway. We'll sign players Villa fans!! Don't worry!
  2. Has SWP signed for West Ham yet? Find it interesting that it hasn't been finalised considering how quietly and quickly they finalised the Boa Morte deal. I think Chelsea leaked something to the press to get more teams interested, maybe bump up the price? Who knows.
  3. Yeah, Milner would be a great signing, but doesn't look likely at the moment unfortunately. Guess we'll have to see.
  4. I'd have to say SWP and Boa Morte would, yes. boa morte, the inconsistant speed merchant who doesnt really do a lot other than run fast a lot, occasionally score the odd goal, work hard, and thats about it? dont we have gabby, who is younger, with a lot more potential, who can already do that? and swp would offer us speed.... definately wouldnt offer us strength or height, and tbh, im sure we could find another winger who is quick but flatters to deceieve more often than not in recent times, a lot cheaper than 10 million... just because we have some money now, doesnt mean that we should allow other clubs to rape us financially... me personally, i would rather we kept what we had, rather than waste 3 million on the likes of that goomba looking freak marlon harewood... especially when you consider he has a similar goalscoring record this term to the innefectual baros.... Agree with you about Boa Morte but you would take SWP if he was offered, he's an absoloute gem in my opinion. The city fans up here would love him back that's for sure. Outside of the top four, he could walk in any other team.
  5. The Sun have said the deal for Luis Boa Morte is done, with him going to West Ham for £5m. Nothing on the West Ham official site though, so where they've got this from i don't know. Most likely gonna happen though. Not particularly bothered about this one to be honest. More interested with the SWP story. I would have expected that to be done by now, the way they were going on yesterday, and neither West Ham or Chelsea have denied the story so i'm guessing SWP is just weighing u his options, hopefully we're one of them. Also after Upson. Here's the link:- http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2002390000-2007000552,00.html
  6. Did not see that one coming! Not Bellamy's biggest fan though so wouldn't mind if this didn't happen. No chance. Bellamy and Kuyt is the prefered strikeforce at Liverpool and he looks back to his best in recent weeks. The only way I could see this happening is if their takeover is on the cards and they've been given the go ahead to grab David Villa. That's the only way. He wouldn't quit Liverpool right now, not a chance, think he'd rather fight for his place than do that. Jermaine Defoe story has more of a chance than the Bellamy one i'm afraid.
  7. Well, i expect it to be done tomorrow. He isn't gonna stay in a hotel all his life. Though if the rumours of Jermaine Defoe not training today are true, surely Sky would have picked up on this, especially at this time of the season where it's the January window. Looks unlikely, though I'm not calling you a liar. We'll just have to see if he moves anywhere remotely near this Hotel.
  8. Obviously  Forget Xavier. Bardsley will be our player, we've been linked with him for ages, only makes sense that it will be us versus Sunderland for the guy.
  9. Interesting, another airport spy. Lets hope your info is as solid as 'The Trees' was in the Summer. If Milan is going, surely we have something lined up. He must have gone out there to talk. If he's not even on the bench on Sunday, I imagine he'll be off.
  10. For who? SWP? How's it going anyway RandysVilla, guess you weren't talking to Jermaine Defoe last night afterall hey?!
  11. The Boa Morte deal is touted in one of their papers down there (London), think it's the Evening Standard?! Ah well, just gonna wait and see who the Villa sign. West Ham are making the right noises, I know the Argentines haven't done too well for them, but I reckon if they're still around next season, they're gonna be very very good players. Now with them supposedly signing SWP and Boa Morte, they've got a better team than us, no doubt about it.
  12. Sorensen Mellberg Cahill Upson Bouma SWP Petrov Barry Boa Morte Defoe Dica Subs: Taylor Laursen Davis Agbonlahor Moore Squad: Oljenik Delaney Hughes Ridgewell Samuel McCann Hendrie Gardner Osbourne Agathe Angel Baros Sutton Oh we can only dream! Boa will be a fantastic buy at £5m for West Ham, never mind SWP. Gutted.
  13. Boa Morte has gone to West Ham too?! WHAT???!!!??? Bloomin heck.
  14. Looks good in that video. Shoot with his left or right. Looks a very accomplished header of the ball. Can take a free kick also. But, he looks a bit lightweight, and it was only 4.38secs of footage, that show only the good things of Dica. At 27, why haven't clubs come in for him before if he's quite accomplished? I thought he was gonna be 21,22 maybe. Hmmmm, wait and see. MON obviously would have sent scouts out to see him if he's planning on buying him.
  15. It's good to see if this is true, that Villa are exploring avenues abroad. Obviously we've had a fair few that have gone wrong, such as Balaban, Ghrahyib, etc. But the likes of Angel, Alpay did good jobs for us, so it can go either way really. This Dica guy seems to have a good pedigree if he's scoring 1/2 and has played in the Champions League. Are there more teams looking at him though?
  16. Before I go to bed:- Shaun Wright Phillips:- Off to West Ham apparantly, £9.8m. (Sun newspaper) Source - http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2002390000-2007000371,00.html Find it hard to believe we weren't in for him, as right sided midfield was a clear area we needed to strengthen. Hopefully this deal isn't as far into negotiations as the Sun have made out, and MON can still tempt him to come to the Villa. People forget too quickly what a great player he is. He's never had the chance at Chelsea, if he goes to West Ham, or Aston Villa, or Newcastle United, you can guarantee he'll be there for next 5-6 years, and most likely go down as one of the greatest players to grace that club. He is that good IMO, and he would be my number one transfer target, because he is available, and players like him don't tend to be available in the January window. (posted it in the SWP thread, but then realised I should have put it here, apologies).
  17. Also, whilst I'm here. The Marlon Harewood rumour interests me. Alot of people are already hating on this suggestion, but I don't know. I think he could be a good addition to our squad. Now I'm not the usual kind of guy to hate on any of our players, and I have been known in the past to be a bit of an 'Angel lover', no matter what he does or how he plays. But, enough is enough. I think we still would have drawn on Tuesday without Angel, he offered nothing to us but giving the ball away. The problem here is that Mr Baros doesn't want to be here, Mr Sutton, Mr Moore are injured and well Mr Agbonlahor has played far too many games for a kid at this stage of his development. So that only leaves us with Juan Pablo, and he's guaranteed to play, he knows this and we know this. Harewood for me would be a great addition because he is everything Angel isn't, and the kind of player every team should have. Sure, he won't be the best of his trade, but he certainly won't be the worst. We need someone who is gonna run round, challenging defenders constitently, never giving them time on the ball, someone who is gonna get stuck in and win headers, someone who is going to really give it his all week in, week out. Harewood strikes me as one of these players, but he does have a knack of missing a fair few chances - my answer to that is:- 'Who doesn't?' You know? For £2-3m as has been touted on here, Harewood would be a good buy, he's still quite young I think (but don't quote me on that, 27?) so has his best years ahead of him. He's one for the future too. If we do get say a Jermaine Defoe etc, Harewood would be a good player to play with him or to come off the bench for him. This game is all about rotation and I for one would like to see Harewood here, because unlike the likes of Sutton, Agathe, Djemba Djemba etc, the guy will have a future here and will do us a good job for many years.
  18. Not that I believe Jermaine Defoe is coming to Villa and am in anyway saying I believe these three geezers, but I would just like to point out that 'RandysVilla' was as dead  about 'AWOL's' claims as much as all the rest of you at the beginning. (Take a look, he was doubting AWOL the most) So either he did actually talk to Mr Jermaine Defoe and started 'shaking' in excitement as he put it, or these three fella's (or ladies?) pre-planned to come on to this site and talk about some rubbish about Jermaine Defoe. Cast: Awol - The man with the info RandysVilla - Starts off as a doubter, soon to be a believer, to add noises to Awol's claims. Other geezers name - Gets his missus to do the work for him, could be some truth in what he says, lol. ^^^ Just joking btw, don't take offence lads, it's 4.34am in the morning, i've had a few beers, just got home and just read 30 more pages of this transfer thread that wasn't here the last time I looked this afternoon. Either Awol is telling the truth or he isn't. We'll soon find out, because if Jermaine Defoe is in Birmingham tomorrow, it'll be because a fee has been agreed, talks about personal terms will take place, with the medical probably concluding the days events by the evening. Either way, if this is stone wall, it should be done tomorrow, I see no reason why it wouldn't. (If the claims are true of course). :winkold: Up the Villa!!
  19. Another holiday as MON wants to sign some players
  20. http://tinyurl.com/hvre4 Article from the Times, regarding the takeover.
  21. So, according to what he said on the radio, Padfield should have had his discussions with Doug today. Can we expect Rothschild to say 'formal' bids to be bidded by tomorrow or Thursday? They must have some kind of deadline on this? All parties have been discussed to etc, so now it's a matter of those who are interested to bid or not.
