  1. Ahhh, you've gotta laugh! I predict by 700 pages, we'll have one signing to talk about
  2. We must have something up our sleeves. That United deal has really rocked the transfer window. So jealous. I honestly believe we'll sign some top class players. At least we'll know Sneijder won't be going to Man Utd now! Would love to get him here!
  3. Im sorry i must be on the wrong site i thought this was Villa Talk Who's Anderson? Had we been linked?
  4. Well, you tell us. You claim to be in contact with Oldham and we're close to signing Micah Richards! You would know better than us then. Unless you were lying. :winkold:
  5. I think you have answered your own question there.. I was typing out loud, i was just asking to gather more opinions on it. Does it mean it's a done deal? Be a pitty if we pay 8mill for NRC when we could have got Parker, as I'd prefer him.
  6. Something about Nani and Man Utd coming up next on SSN. (Thought he was off to Spurs :winkold: ) Not that we've been linked or anything. It just shows everything is suddenly hotting up. Hopefully we'll hear something concrete about Villa soon, other than the usual Bellamy and Kewell tripe! 12mill, gosh!
  7. Reo-Coker is already off dude, he is on the transfer list. West Am already have plenty of money from egg head, so i don't think this necessarily means they have had some in. Yeah, you're right. Hmmm. Ambitious. Will be interesting to see if Toon accept.
  8. Also, how come everytime West Ham make a bid for someone, it finds itself on SSN?! They love the publicity dont they. Unless this deal is pretty much done, doesn't this just make the interest for Scott Parker more apparant, and thus more teams might bid? Don't know why they leak their transfers, it doesn't benefit them in anyway, except letting their fans talk about potential signings etc.
  9. Breaking news on SSN:- 'West Ham make 8.5million bid for Newcastle captain Scott Parker.' I know they have alot of money about them etc, but looks like they've received some money for NRC. Alot of money to just go out there and bid with, for a position where there captain has handed in a transfer request. I think NRC is off, and he'll be out very very soon, is he on his way to Villa?!
  10. I really rate Parker if im honest. I still believe Man Utd should have gone in for him when he went to Chelsea. Would love to see him at VP.
  11. I take it all back Jez, talk of Ronaldinho (Yes, I know you were joking) and Tevez - not a chance! He's gonna be going for around 25mill!
  12. Nobody has said we're going to sign Henry and he wasn't saying Gardner was better. That's the last I'll say about it because I'm not interested in debating.
  13. Oh really, how did your figure that out? Right everyone, dont say another player is better than a Villa player, it means you dont have a high opinion of Villa, jesus  To be honest, you don't. You never think anyone is going to join. You're the most negative poster on this board, and some people still haven't clocked onto this and ignore you, but never mind. (Sorry if that's me being a dick, but it just seems when this thread goes off topic, it's because you've stirred it up.) This is a transfer thread, not a Craig Gardner vs NRC thread.
  14. From the Times. Not many of these Liverpool players want to come to Villa. I would welcome the signing of Kewell though, think he's a top class player when fit. Here's the link:- short links - learn it, its not hard
  15. I've been thinking about this, and I've come to this conclusion:- The fact that Man City are getting taken over is key to all this. They are NOT open for business. Why would the club (who of which I may ask is doing the deal?), agree to sell their best player? Also, why would the new owner want to sell his best asset? Why would he need to sell his best asset? It doesn't strike me that this Thai dude is short of a few bob, so the whole deal doesn't make sense. A non starter IMO.
  16. May I ask how old you are AV89?! The 89 doesn't signify your birthdate does it? I dunno, I'd believe you more if you were older than 17 years old
  17. Just don't believe Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool would let him fall away to Villa. Especially Man Utd - with an ageing Gary Neville and Chelsea, who well, have Ferreira, who has been terrible all season. I think they'd both be in for him. Liverpool have been linked majorly aswel. Looks like they're in for a major defender this summer. Richards and Militio are the ones that have been linked the most. Man United might have bigger things to fry, as in Hargreaves (15mill) and a striker (20mill plus). Chelsea are apparantly not spending mega bucks anymore, and this could be seen with the signing of Sidwell. Sorry - just typing and thinking out on here. I hope avfc89 is being honest with the Oldham thing, it would be a seriously seriously massive signing and big wake up call to the rest of the Premiership. All I've been getting this year from my Liverpool supporting housemate that Liverpool are this and that, and he'd love Micah Richards, Villa are shit - your still not going anywhere fast. He even said Torres was a done deal 2 days ago, I haven't noticed him signing?! 8) Would love Richards to sign. Would be a brilliant signing. But with Man City going through a takeover stage, how is it a fee has been agreed etc? We don't even know who we are dealing with etc.
  18. We won't have EVER had a summer like this one. Trust me.
  19. With the attitude of those West Ham fans, no wonder he didn't want to play for them. There's more to this story that meets the eye. I mean, one player cannot dramatically fall out with a club in the space of a season, it just doesn't happen. There must have been a threat on his family from a west ham supporter or something. You don't become a bad player overnight. Can't say I've ever seen him as having a bad attitude or anything, just a little sad/grumpy. Something just isn't right there. I've never heard him mouth off or anything, the only ones that seem to be mouthing off are the fans. It's all one sided at the moment. This example pretty much shows you that the fans upset him quite badly:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JG-qw-jqD8 West Ham fans don't like him, and he doesn't seem to like them much neither! Can't blame him! 8)
  20. I did say Barton yesterday too. But thinking about it, Barton comes with a heck of a lot of baggage and probably less energy than Reo-Coker. I like the idea of the energy he could bring to our team, in a similar role to what Gardner has been doing - box to box, etc. He likes to get stuck in aswel, and has scored a few good goals along the way. Think he'd become a fans favourite if he came.
  21. I'd take him before Reo-coker to be honest, the kid is very exciting and is box to box with no little skill, i think a lot of peoples grip with being linked with the likes of Bellamy, Taylor and possibley Reo-coker is that they're not names that really blow your socks off, even though i'm sure we all agree they'd all add something to the side everyone likes something a little more exotic than they're used to, we want the next Ronaldo, the next Henry or Vieria!!, but sometimes the player who you think might just be "a solid signing" can turn out to be the hero we've been looking for!!. I honestly believe NRC will be a great signing should we get him.
  22. Taylor, NRC, Bellamy and Gordon WOULD improve us immensly. MON will sign a defender in there too and maybe a winger. The summer looks promising. I'm not in a panic situation whatsoever.
