I can’t think thinking any flats in Sutton that would be of any interest to someone shopping with the kind of budget Dougie is...

 I was thinking that myself along with if that guy actually does work for who he claims, he's on his last day there.

  2. I thought he did very well last night. He kept things ticking over very nicely, played a few very nice passes and thumped in a cracking goal.

There is a caveat, of course. And that is who he was facing and how much time and space they gave him and other players. Can he play like that when he has much less time and space to move the ball to a player who will have less time and space to receive the ball?

Maybe we should just play him against Wolves because they seem scared of him. They all just parted like the Red Sea when he waltzed through them.

The slow drawn out annihilation of spacetime as it approaches a black hole is more eventful than a Delphinho Wednesday.

Whilst we are on the subject, I think we have seen illustrated a new concept in theoretical physics that is the same - and by it's nature totally different, as it has to be - as Schrodinger's Cat.

We have Delphinho's Squib, which is a firecracker transfer that is simultaneously happening imminently but also a trombone waw-waw-waw about the same player we haven't even enquired about.

    Just joshing @Delphinho123

Cheers! Good luck. Looks like they are just deliberately trying to stop California from watching it then.

    Which is where I live.

Major League Soccer has restricted the audience for this stream in some markets, however, the stream should be available in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul broadcast market and all of the United Kingdom.

Showing as starting @01:00 so hopefully we'll have no connection or streaming issues

Inspiring first words from the manager there. From the David Moyes school of motivation.

Oh wait, you don't ever need to write these tired, sad, cringe-inducing Bruceism cliches because the absolute utter word removed will utter them at absolutely every opportunity.

Fairly confident Paul McGrath didn't make many tackles either.  He's read the game and step out to intercept the ball.

This is anecdotal, however, and so is there to be shot at...

I was thinking along those lines myself, the more cultured the defender the fewer "tackles" you see them making perhaps.

By their measurement of "tackles", if we are reading it right, I'd imagine midfielders have far higher numbers. Maybe.

Surely if we’re still interested in Phillips, we just show this video to Leeds and say, “We like your boy, but we’ve just got this lad for £15m, can your lad do any of this? No? We thought not, £11m take it before we watch this again and offer you £10m”

I'd go in even harder. Show them the video then:

It's going to make things very difficult for the opposition, as all 3 of our midfielders can cause damage. They can't just double up on Grealish to stifle our attacking threat. Can't wait!

Yeah, it's going to be positively...

Our forward players are going to absolutely love playing with this guy. Hourihane probably won't though, as he is never going to get in the team again!

I'm looking forward to seeing another player in our colours who can mug players off. That was taking the piss, I loved it. An outrageous flick and the just shielded the guy out until he got him so frothy and petulant he threw him down.

On corners we could have Bjorn 6' 4 Wes and Ty 6'3 and Anwar 6'2 in the box. That'll be a handful.

Your point is right but even more so than you're saying because AFAIK Tyrone is 6' 5".

We'll know for sure soon enough but I'm pretty sure we'll see he's still the tallest guy in the team, even with the recent addition of a couple more big ****.

Dunno why but I’m not fussed about this one.

I'm the same. I'm just not excited by this one at all. If he was costing **** all, I'd be thinking "What the hell. We can take plenty of £1m gambles on some squad players who may come good but for the money he seemingly is going to cost...I dunno. I guess the management know much better than I do and hopefully I'm wrong but he vibes flop to me.

    Is it?

We spent £65M in the championship 3 years ago.

Single players move for more than that entire amount now.

    We needed lots of players.

Am I the only one not surprised by this?!

No, it's not surprising that we've committed to the level of spending shown so far. Anything less would likely mean our stay in the Prem would be just for a season - i.e. literally doing a Fulham by not doing a Fulham.

And it's worth noting that the suggestion of "a total gross spend of near £150m", and it's a matter of opinion whether that is astonishing or not, isn't likely a gross net spend now. Rather, it's a commitment to spend that on a number of assets across a payment period negotiated for each one.

Potentially, some assets will appreciate in value and may be sold at a profit before we've even fully paid for them which could mean they've effectively cost us nothing at all. For example, if we sell El Ghazi next year to, say, newly-promoted Brentford or Bristol City for £30m (), not only will we possibly not have even paid the final installment on him at that point and not only will he have cost us nothing, we'll actually make on the deal.

Well, I have to say that even if his knee is baked meringue, he looks pretty damn fit there.

What's even more impressive is how much Jack has grown in the last few weeks. By my reckoning going by that shot he must now be 6' 7" and over 15st because he's dwarfing Chester in the foreground.

I think he’s great when we’re on the front foot and attacking the **** out of teams but not when defending a lead.

Fortunately,  Great Barrdiola doesn't believe in defending leads. He believes in attacking leads.

We play a style of football that will be attractive to Man City in terms of his development. As utterly brilliantly mad as that sounds.

Not mad at all. We're now managed by The Great Barr Guardiola.
