Balotelli would be interesting
He might actually thrive having someone like Mings to keep him under control. Depending on the cost he might be worth a gamble. This is just that I would enjoy having a total wildcard in our pack.
How do you propose Mings keeps him under control? Have him as a lodger and chaperone him when he goes out?
Beyond helping Bolotelli get on the training bib correctly after Smith has handed it to him, he won't be able to control anything.

Here’s a list of current free agents ...

One or two names spring out .... could we not get a permit for Radoja? Rather Balotelli than Sturridge ( not saying we should sign him btw at all but just my preference out of the two )
Interesting read. Didn't know Barry was now a free agent. And no, my mentioning his name is not a suggestion.

Haha yeah good one, let’s hope Lansbury isn’t injured because he never is, Grealish isn’t injured because he’s never targeted by the opposition, let’s hope McGinn isn’t suspended because he’s never over keen, let’s hope Marvelous and Douglas are not as good as Jean II Makoun or Eric Djemba Djemba because we know about as much as them right now. We don’t need all of them out only 2 or 3 and it’s problematic. All I’m saying is it’s a risk when we didn’t really need to take.
TBF, from the admittedly little I've seen of Nakamba we should run a sweep on which of him and SJM gets to the ban threshold first, how many bans they get and the individual number of reds and yellows they accrue across the season.

Can't see Sturridge fitting in to this group.
He can teach them to dance like words removed. At AVFC there's a paucity of players who dance like words removed.

Me neither and I wipe it clean on her hair to teach her a lesson but I was presenting an analogy decent, moral people might understand.

People are allowed to express shock or even disappointment that we didn't sign another striker, especially after all the talk in recent days, doesn't mean to say that they're disappointed with the window overall. Right up until this morning it seemed almost certain that we were going to be bringing in at least one more, as it is we're left with a striker who's scored one in fourty games, and who most were happy to see go on loan before today, in fact most seemed to think it was vital that he did for his development, another in Kodjia who is been injury prone, and Moraes who we know little about, I think all three will be fine, but it's not hard to understand why some may be concerned, and why the club itself wanted to bring in reinforements.
Yeah, it's a bit like when you go out with the missus and she gets a bit pissed and promises you a chin-balls blowing and you can backscuttle her afterwards.
Then the word removed falls asleep in the taxi on the way back.

Doing a Small Heath, signing our rejects and offcuts.

I fly a lot, e.g. transatlantic eighteen times last year.
There's a four hour time difference between Brazil and England, which isn't much at all. You're fine after a long night's sleep, two days turnaround max.
There's also a school of thought that holds flying west to east causes much less severe effects than flying east to west.
I've taken a lot of flights and my own experience reflects that but the distance obviously matters too.

Keep the faith, boys. We're going to do an Arsenal and sign people after the deadline.

At the end do we find out who the striker was....like bullseye?
Like when a press operator and a taxi driver from Lower Gornal get shown a speedboat?
And they look at it like it's Apollo 11

When one of my nieces was about three she suddenly burst into tears around 6pm on Xmas night. When asked what was wrong she said, "I want more toys and presents".
Ungrateful little sod had been spoiled rotten with heaps that day.
I now know how she felt.

Won’t this thread technically stay open until the end of the month due to the European transfer window ?
We can't actually buy anyone so unless it's kept open for free agents...like Sturridge.

OK, we'll just fall back on the old faithful of fish puns. It's been a great window, none of us can really carp about it.

Brentford have an unhappy player on their hands. For them I hope he is professional and does well but it will be difficult for him.
£10m in January it is then.

I would imagine the mutual termination of BB's contract wouldn't have cost us anything. He hasn't looked happy, he's 7th choice centre mid and when he couldn't get a loan or a fee he probably just said 'tear my contract up so I can leave'
He was by far and away the least happy non-Derby bloke at Wembley at the end of the game.
I imagine he might have been thinking, "****. If we'd lost that I might be playing for this team next season."
I certainly don't hold the negative view of him that some on here do. He wouldn't have got much playing time here but good luck to him, he always put a shift in.
