I am still flabbergasted that Liverpool won city of culture. Culture? It is probably the most intolerant city in this country of other cultures. Other cultures that have formed such an important part of post war Birmingham.

If players want to make donations for something then they should be for charity not to a hard up football club. If prices are £27.50 that could actually mean that I may not be able to get a ticket for the game as the people who come out of the woodwork for certain games would get there first. Those that want to go most will have one less night out that week or make some other sacrifice and will be the ones that make the most noise.

Bromsgrove is correct General, it was when we drew 0-0 at the Sty in 2003-4 and it was fine. As good a view as you get in a pub and no danger of fights breaking out. We actually had some singing in the Holte Upper.

A couple of months ago it was mentioned on here if there was any possible 'link up' with tickets, offers etc with Birmingham Speedway.

From memory I think you said you'd look into it. Has this gone any further ? Think it would be another great link up considering the Brummies are on our doorstep.

From all accounts General my nephews Arron and Devon had a wonderful time on Wednesday night as the Villa mascots. They and my cousins enjoyed it and the boys now want to be footballers. I haven´t asked them but I bet I know who they want to play for. Will there be a story about them in a programme that we publish, it would be ok with us and show how the Villa family is spreading.

Would it be possible at some point for MON to do a brief questions and answers session with the fans, perhaps on the new official site. I understand that he is very busy both in the off-season and during the campaign but it would be nice to be able to ask him a few questions rather than relying on the drivel journalists usually spout at him. Maybe we could gather a few questions from fans on sites like this one and then MON could answer them (wouldn't have to answer all of them just the selected few) in his own time and then they would be published on the OS.

Just an idea...maybe not a good one but its Wednesday morning after all ....

Last season we had one on Capital Gold and another where you could call in on Radio WM. I suspect it will happen again this season as there were 7000 applications for 600 tickets at the Capital Gold forum.

Hi General,

I would like to thank both yourself and Nicky Keye for your help in making my nephews Aaron and Devon mascots for the Toronto game. Although I am unable to attend, it really means a great deal to me. The boys and their mum are really excited, although not as much as me! Hopefully there will be some nice publicity shots.

It is great that we have such fantastic people involved at our football club.

Yes have seen the link with Smith, he would have been a good signing but we got Carew instead and his unwillingness to come on loan shows an attitude of thinking that he is too good when he actually isn't. Also seen that Gilardino is available for £16m so West Ham will probably offer £40m and £3m per week and still get turned down!

If Davis and Moore are going to go then I want Defoe and Sneijder, would help soften the blow to say the least!
