  1. It was after the end of Monty Python and it had Eric Idle and Neil Innes and some others . Only lasted one , maybe two series I think but it was funny and The Rutles, (I think) first appeared on there. It was around the same sort of time as Palin's Ripping Yarns - but that's spinning off the topic I guess.

  2. I like them all. Paul for some cutesy quirky songs (usually written in the third person) , John for his deep lyrics (usually written in the first person), though I used to hate George's Indian influenced music, I now love it, (The Inner Light - b side of Lady Madonna is great) and Ringo just for being Ringo. I love his usual one vocal track on each album.

Liked Wings too - Wings over America was a great album, as was Band on The Run . Have cd's of all their individual "Greatest Hits" but George's recent one was very disappointing I have to say

  3. I struggle to pick a favourite - I love them all actually. I guess my very favourites are Help, Rubber Soul, The White Album and Abbey Road - I went for the White Album in the end as it is so diverse. I love some of the versions on the Anthology albums too.

  4. Next game though, I bet people will still be singing "Martin Martin give us a Wave" - like today, right as we are having to defend a free kick for example! Surely we can stop it now and only sing it if, say, by some miracle, we were winning a game by about 3-0 or something! Also, can we stop singing"Shit Support" to every single team. I'm shellshocked really and I fear that we will not even qualify for the Europa League group stages - will that be a good thing or a bad thing? We really really need a good excting signing to lift spirits. Come on , sort it out.

  5. Freebird for me too Love it. Stairway to Heaven is not even my favourite Led Zep track - that honour goes to Thank You from Led Zep II. Neil Young has some classic long early tracks and what about an honourable mention to Al Stewart's "Love Chronicles" which, of course, features Jimmy Page on guitar.
I think I may have proposed to you before, Hev, but you just made me want to do it again.

Ha ha Mike, Yes I remember - trouble is, you're a married man! You have a great taste in music though

  7. I'm with Rob etc - hate them. Wish they'd drop down to the Conference or lower. Read in one of the Sundays Porno Dwarf said if they didn't get promoted, it would be "Armageddon" as they had several players on prem wages. Why oh WHY did they have to come back up first time - just even one more season down there would've been great. Went out as soon as final whistle blew today, within ten minutes, I had seen three of the scummy scummers with their poxy F & C Investments shirts on walking along. God it makes my blood boil. Sod the derby games I say. Glad Wolves are up though, even wish Albion would stay up, - just not them. We'll have to put up with David Gold all over the local and national radio and tv now acting as if he is an old and experienced hand in the Prem. God what a shit day - then Everton win too!

  8. Loved school. Learned a lot at infants and junior school was a bit of a swot I guess, always finished first or second in class!. Secondary School, unfortunately messed about and wasted my education, discovered boys, only liked sport really, but LOVED it, it was one huge social event to me - lessons were secondary! I regret it a bit now - should've listened more and tried harder! Anyway, then went to tech for a couple of years to try to pick up some more qualifications! Loved school though, no worries in those days.

  9. I think the fact that the Club want to give something to us loyal supporters is most generous and I can't believe that people are criticising it - Randy might wonder why he bothers sometimes! I find it quite upsetting that people criticise this - sorry but I do. I know I would be very hurt if I had thought about a gift and gave it to someone who then said it was cheap tacky and why bother etc - even if that's what they think , in my opinion, they should keep their feelings to themselves when the club are being so thoughtful and generous. Thanks General and to Randy - Great Idea. I'm looking forward to mine and will wave it with great gusto in the Upper Doug Ellis stand! It can go with my free scarf from Sheff U Game and Mellberg shirt from West Ham game - absolutely tops!

  10. Born at Kingsbury (nr Tamworth) - not really Brum. Moved to Water Orton at 13 and then to Yardley - which definitely IS Brum (in fact Blooz hotbed) when I got married - divorced now, still in Yardley though!
