i have just been on a holiday in magaluf, and on my way back i got talking in the airport to one of the guys working in the shops. He was a Sevilla fan who also supported Mallorca because he lived on the island, and had a soft spot for Villa because he came to watch a cup game between 2 spanish teams in the 90's. I said to him about Luna and he said he thought he was a good enough player, but not great, and thought he could improve because he was only young still. He also said that he thinks the price is very cheap though.

EDIT: just looked it up, the game he watched was the final ever Cup Winners Cup final, held at Villa Park between Lazio and Mallorca in 1999. i am sure this is the one he meant, his english was patchy and i was not in the best of states myself

i know it's unrelated but in the other fixtures that day, 2 teams are average championship sides, 1 is in league 1 and the other in league 2. it seems mad how quickly the world of football changes

the home kit looks insane soon as it drops in price i am 110% getting it, the away kit however... well 2 kits in 1 years is too much to ask for anyway

The home kit just looks so brilliant and classic and even the sponser or the badge doesn't take away from that authentic look. loving it

there are many reasons why people wouldn't have strong willpower, and to ask that to overcome an addiction? like i say i don't think we should be safeguarding i have no issue, i take issue with what people are suggesting about gambling and addicts

You don't see it as a little amusing that people who choose to gamble have what I would call a sanctimonious or hypocritical problem with there being a gambling sponsor on our shirt? I also see this curiously consistent outlook in other posts that they make.

i think it is a shame for them if despite objecting to gambling or sponsorship, they choose to do it anyway, i wouldn't see it as hypocritical because their gambling is a personal issue and they are looking at how it affects others rather than themselves, and also the image of our club.

They wouldn't pay all this money if they didn't believe it would create new gamblers.

You can say you don't have a problem with that but trying to deny it happens is just wishful thinking.

some people see this as morally wrong, others don't. what i have a massive issue with is the fact that i have just been reading point-scoring and mocking from some users simply because people object to having a gambling firm on the front of their clubs shirt.

In some countries gambling is illegal, some people view it as against there religion, surely people are allowed to state they don't like the idea of it being promoted and endorsed on the front of their club shirt?

I don't personally have a problem with it, I have my own reasons for being strongly against gambling but my club advertising it does not effect me. I choose instead to ignore advertising and although I do bet, it is on the very rare occasion and is only a small amount. However, I can very much understand people who don't wish to see this sort of action taken from the club so their points make perfect sense to me

with gabby and andi as our wing forwards and tonev and albrighton as our natural wingers with the ability to play wing forwards, as well as many other players who can play wide like nzogbia, carruthers and holman, i cant see this one being needed

He looked a great little player against Croatia and wasn't at all bad in Spain, i hope he gets to a club that will play him regularly and appreciate him, he never looked right in our team, wages too high, too attacking for McLeish's style. i think it is a wise move by nintendo to not show, there is no need and probably best for them to carry on working on the next selection of games, whilst also keeping them quiet until something is worth showing off. I had a friend last year who was a massive Crewe fan and I remember saying to him that it must be frustrating loosing a great young player in Powell, then Westwood leaving and he used to say "as long as we keep hold of murphy"

I have gone from always rating him and thinking he's a great prospect, to seeing his development slow down, to hating him purely due to Con, to liking him again purely due to the absolute carp people are spouting about him. I cannot people who have watched villa for more than 3 years can say "he's the worst villa player ever" he's "woeful"

I think his confidence and match fitness is lacking, due to being taken out the team and being hounded by "fans" of villa.

those highlights make the kid look brilliant, and i think his sheer pace helps him because if he makes mistakes or is out of position he has the pace to get back. he was in a poor team against a good Chelsea side so this isn't some youtube video showing him to be something he's not, and the commentators are drooling over him by the sounds of it. would be very happy with this guy
