So many ITK’s, it’s hard to know who the best one is
Aye they all know nowt. Put em where they belong. The club will let us know when the deal is done with whoever.
Meanwhile its fun to speculate. -
I can see Amorim being a good secondary target. But Poch , Emery and Tuchel are way ahead of him for me. They have managed high quality players like ours before.

I want a high detailed report as to why Amorim should be our new manager, because it is similar to gerrard where he has had basically one spell, id like a full detailed report sell it to me
Your guess is as good as anyone's who the next manager will be. Nobody outside the club knows. Why not post who you want and why instead?

Time to come back and celebrate the win! Why deny yourself? We all make mistakes.

Gerrard just overcomplicated things.
Placing players in these ridiculous roles and absurd formations.
Danks just made things simple and picked players in their natural roles and allowed them to express themselves.
Football doesn't have to be a complicated game.
Aye, self evidently Gerrard & his 5 hand picked coaches (all now sacked) had no idea what they were doing. I am delighted about today but also angry at the wasted months under Gerrard & co. Frauds.

Superb today. Playing where he should, leading the line with license to drop deep. Loved his head tap celebrations.

Ignoring the silly twitter media inventions for a moment.
Hopefully today gives us some more leverage and time to bring in one of our top manager targets.
Exciting times!- 2

Captains performance. Some great distribution.

Got the Bailey interview?
Also in the Bailey thread. Cheers!- 1

Great work. From the sounds of Leon Bailey, Danks set them up sensibly and gave them freedom to express themselves.
Lovely!- 1

I think folks are underestimating where Spurs are. Why would they re-hire a manager they fired because of poor results? They regard themselves as above the likes of Poch now and they are probably right.
He is a good fit for us though. -
Hail Danks!

Bloody have it! Danks you magnificent bastard!
oh shove that up yer arse Thomas Frank.

excited for the first time in months for a game! Going to be interesting to see how the players respond!
3-1 Villa and Poch in the stands -
Anyone's dream manager is as valid as anyone's right now I respect that. But I do find it odd Dyche is anyone's dream manager. I dont see the football appeal and to state the obvious, our players are not Dyche style players.

Frustrating Shame the womens team was some rare good news. Still early days in the season yet for the WSL so we can recover.

Because the one imploding at leicester wasnt backed.
Rodgers style of football suits us so i can ser the appeal. Defence is a worry but then look faets he has been class for them
True. I have been Rodgers in for years. But we have had some Leicester fans come on here telling us he is to be avoided right now. I wish we had listened to Rangers fans more last year.

Wasn't he supposedly the 'brains' behind the strategy? If there is no strategy that's at least partly his fault, no? As is the fact that we've played a daft narrow type of football that has lead us to sell off almost all of our wingers.
F**k off Beale.
Agree. A preview of how Beale will behave when results go south at QPR. Blame anyone but himself. That kind of character is poisonous.. We are well rid.

Talksport just asked Beale about the job, he said no chance. He basically said the recruitment has been poor and the club needs a strategy.
Bullet dodged as far as I am concerned. I really dont need the Gerrard whisperer back here. I wish QPR well tho. They deserve a bloody break.

Re Martinez. Not so sure about international managers going straight back into the PL. I regard international football as being of such a lower standard than top tier club football in general. I guess Hodgson was successful? What say you VT does it matter?

Voted Poch as he is available, interested and it apparently irritates people to hear that so win/win
I think Emery is a very good choice if he would come.
Poch, Tuchel, Emery are all good realistic choices. See I did it again! Happy Saturday haters!- 3

I was reading an article this morning saying that Emery's tactics would better suit our players over Poch due to Poch's high press and concerns over the current midfield, Ings, Countinho etc to work within that style.
It made some sense and hopefully the owners are making similar assumptions, rather than having another manager and having to change the squad again.
It makes sense. Pretty exciting if we could persuade him. I think we all agree we want a real coach. This guy has gone head to head with the best and won.

The Yellow Submarine are actually a lot of fun to watch, too, even when they've lost. We have some players, like Bailey, that I feel would be able to find direction and home in an Emery set-up. He might even be able to get Coutinho clicking again. Kamara would be a natural fit. Not sure about McGinn.
Cheers! Good to hear they are a good watch. I dont really know much about them. But I will check em out the la liga games! They are on ESPN I think!

You guys lost me 3 references ago.
Here have an Emery flexible tactics* video
*I know, a manger who changes tactics based on the situation, crazy
And Danjuma "Emery is a tactical mastermind!" (they went on to draw the second leg and went through)
We would be bloody lucky to get hold of Emery.- 7
