  1. 1 poor performance dosnt define a season  but Smith needs to utilise the signings in their preferred and best positions.

AEG for me is finished he's pathetic as a pro he's brilliant for 1 game in 5  kt good enough.

Smith also now has to try a new brand of football, Jack leaving allows us to speed our attacks up.

4 4 2 is a no no imo with our personal.

I think if I was manager yo get all players in I'd go 4 1 4 1. I'd also sign a  big DM with only priority to break up attacks and pass it forward.

  2. This is the season to see what Smith is about he has to seek a new brand of football post jack leaving.

Lots saying we can't do this can't do that can't play this formation or that formation.

Smith has signed these players, for me he must use the players in strongest position if we play Watkins and ings then they play as forwards not one on the wing.

I personally think Smith is still unsure on formation to use but he needs to get it sorted quickly, Watford game was poor at best.

    I'd like

    4-1-4-1

    Emi

    Cash

    Konsa

    Mings

    Targett

    NEW DM

Mcginn (all-round engine back and forward)

    Beundia

    Bailey

    Ings ( just off watkins)

    Watkins

  3. Not sure what plans the villa have for JWP and if saints will sell but something looks like it's brewing with JWP and Spurs.

Odds for villa to sign JWP are 6/5 but spurs have gone from 40/1 down to 4/1 in 2 days and now they are 5/2.

My point of view is if we want him bid our sealing bid and give them a take it or leave it. If they reject so be it we move on and look elsewhere.

Let's not sit back thinking we want him and not be brave in the bids only to regret it.

I'm happy with our business and would take JWP but if we don't get him we move on regardless.

  4. JWP is a win/win on so many levels for me.

Superb ser piece taker- something we have lacked for many years.

Covers lots of ground around the pitch pressing and breaking up play then distributing ball forward.

26yrs old so let's say 40mil ish if he's a success he will gain value so profit but in the meantime he will add to our team.

We have ings Watkins mings konsa all dangerous from set pieces but if you don't deliver the ball into the danger area it counts for nothing.

I'd bid upto 50mil maximum for him and class this as an investment still mid 20s in age and can get better.

Hope not. Don’t want him at the club anymore, especially if he can’t pass a medical!!

Agree. For me regardless if he fails medical he will not be captain if he stays so he should just leave

Win all the trophies  and earn the biggest amount of money he can.

Oh and pick a nice spot on the bench he likes to sit because he will not be playing 90mins every game FACT. At villa he had a strop because he came off against Newcastle with 2minutes to go.

  6. This BS will soon be over Jack grealish a footballer .He can watch villa on the TV I doubt in near future he will return to watch. Let him enjoy his life and football we will be moving forward without him and tbh I'm glad every season this would happen the uncertainty. When he sits back and realises what he will do once that contract is signed there will be no coming back. If he gets to 32yrs old and won all his trophies he can forget coming back.

It's not him leaving that riles us it's the timing, a club moving forward with a so called villan as captain leaving at the wrong time imo. Next season if we finish 10th again by all means leave he will be approaching 27 then. His agent will have been in his ear, villa are approaching the best times since O'Neil was here and I believe this time we go that step further. NSWE have breathed new life into Villa as I said before You don't choose Aston Villa it chooses you. Onwards and upwards my Villa family let's enjoy this time because its our time forget Jack like he forgot about us.

£30m, pushing 30, can struggle with injuries and most likely pushes Watkins out wide. I really don't understand this I've got to be honest.

30mil where did this figure come from

This is where a lot of the anger comes from, and why if he'd stuck around for another year and we had another season middling mid-table season like the last one there wouldn't be anywhere near as much venom if he left.

Jack's burnt his bridges now this love affair is over for him, large amount of fans will not forgive him for this.

It's the most high profile player Aston Villa have lost from those big names in the past and what's made it harder to accept is " He's meant to be one of us"

Surely his advisors could of said Jack 1 more year and you will know if villa are heading further on the right direction and like you said if we go backwards his move absolutely would have alot less venom and hatred.

    WE WILL BE OK!!!

We have made £100m from a player who cost us £0

A player who very often misses 1/3 of a season

We have owners who are seriously ambitious

We are a stronger team without Jack with the new recruits we have bought in to the team we finished last season with and we will continue to add to it.

We are still making progress! Trust the process!

I've got zero emojis left but we'll said my friend absolutely spot on.

Last dregs of the relegation team and poisonous Randy Lerner era. A new start.

    Yes mate agree.

Aston villa had the scenario when Jack's dodgy shins caused him to miss a fair few games we struggled but knew he would be back at some point.

Jack leaving results in zero return we go our way forward imo the lifelong fan jack said he is has got off the wrong stop along this journey but if he is happy I know us villa fans will also once dust settles

Change is not liked in life I hate it lol but I know it seems like a disaster but this is simply a blip we will regroup rebuild and all pull together because those of us supporting ❤  this club and always will.

I REALLY hope along with our recruitment, this puts desire into the club and our players to outdo expectations and have a storming season.

A battering of City where Bailey and Beundia run them ragged, while he sits on the bench, and comes on late to attempt to salvage would do us nicely too.

This would be dreamy. One thing for sure Jack will not play every minute of every game he needs to get this in his head.

  12. At this moment everything for jack has been villa soon to become a city player.

Guys we will move on and stick with the villa, I personally think this move will destroy jack mentally.

This scenario is like when you've ended a relationship and lived with regret once it's gone it's gone.

As soon as he signs the contract this relationship ends but who will have more regret? .

Jack will win trophies and earn more money, but he will become a normal player with no special affiliation, he can and will be subbed, left out of starting lineup and not the go to guy. He will still crave his true love Aston VILLA who unfortunately for him will have moved on and left him behind.

Buckle up guys this juggernaut is ready to propel forward.
