If we can get this jack situation sorted once season starts and Jack performs superbly, if city come back next season could well be 150m minimum.
Makes this summer pivotal not only does contract provide some sort of security it also allows Jack's value to grow.
Fingers crossed our guys sort it.
Cmon the villa let's wake this sleeping giant up once more.

I wouldn't begrudge him a move. I'm amazed no champions league team apart from spurs low ball offer has come in for him. The boy is quality and you could see that a long time ago. He owes us nothing and will always be villa. If he has the chance to move somewhere where he can win the league then good luck to him. Sad for us but I dont think he will wait around for another 2 or 3 years while we try to get into Europe.
Levy blew it he must regret being tight everyday. Don't get me wrong I'm so glad he is an NSWE saved us.

I'm alot more confident this release clause might not exist.
If it did I could see a suarez type arsenal bid taking place of 1p more than clause.
We're not out of the woods but I'd love villa board to tell city " Thanks but we don't need you're money give levy a call and bother him" lol

Be fuming if we don't replace him before we sell him
This would be a double blow for us no jack and no replacement.
This will have an effect to are season no doubt.

If jack leaves I think we need alverez, bailey and JWP for midfield/attacking
If jack stays bailey would be good and then the GK and CB.
Plates from hertha could be good player.

I would like this to be concluded by our first league game because this cannot be happening every summer.. it’s ridiculous
You're spot on this must be holding us up on signings our window will look.completely different if jack leaves

Jack grealish paid handsomely by his boyhood team he loves the big fish in a small pond guaranteed games and dictating games.
Swapping to another club with possibility of rotation and less game time admittedly trophies but once the dust settles will he be truly happy.
Once it's decided one way or the other if he leaves for City there is zero guarantee it will be the right move " The grass isn't always greener"

If city trigger release clause I it exists resulting in villa owners hands being tied to reject can we demand full amount upfront I for one want it all if we lose our star player.
Installments I know is the norm but it will hold us back imo.

I think it's the marketing more than anything else, I can see him being fast tracked to one of the biggest names in football with that spotlight on him
Aston Villa's Jack grealish won't make it on to a Pepsi can
I get ya makes firm sense.
Let's hope that his love for this great club ties him to this club for many more years and with our owners ambitions he can achieve everything he desires.

IMO it's wrong to say man City is just because he's money driven
Sorry of course the trophies but I meant regarding wages they could.pay him as opposed to what we could apologies

Whatever outcome is concluded and I hope jack stays by the way nothing that comes from this if he leaves in in spite of fan.
Release clause- not confirmed but if this does exist if triggered it's upto jack the club cannot do anymore apart from offer the new contract to stop it.
If it dosnt exist we hold all the cards.
Jack- if he's money driven he joins city. I don't think he is due to his love for Aston VIlla it's well documented and should our hero leave I know some will think he betrayed us he will still love aston villa.
I think the key to this situation is if jack leaves we will e at a huge disadvantage our club will need to invest, battling against over inflated prices.
I trust our owners and management level to sort us out regardless if he stays or goes. The owners have spent a fortune and to not fix our club and correct it with new players if jack leaves is not going to happen these guys mean business.

Let's look at the facts
1.Jack is a villa fan
2.Been part of the club since a young boy.
3.Captain of our great club.
4.loves the villa and always will.
Now let's look at the Rumours/possibilities going forward
1. City rumoured to put a bid in to start the ball rolling ( papers said this was done weeks ago)
2. Jack wants to play against the best
3. Jack want to Win silverware.
Jack grealish is one of us he lives, breaths, bleeds Aston Villa lots of us believe it's 50/50 if he stays or goes.
In Jack's career he has 2 runners up medals in Fa Cup and league Cup plus play off winners and international runners up. Man City would guarantee trophies
Jack should be presented with a new contract in the next week or so and decisions to make. Currently he is captain of his boyhood club who have ambitious owners.Ov er the next few weeks our playing personal will increase and quality improved upon.
My main point is currently he is at HIS club the club he loves and starts every game, his future will be not be so rosy at a club like city he will not be forever that focal point nor will he be an automatic starter 100% ( pep rotates )
If jack grealish leaves our fantastic club our villa will evolve we will learn a new way to play and Jack grealish will still be a Villa fan.
Difference between Jack grealish and the likes of Dwight Yorke,James Miller, fabian Delph,Gareth Barry,Stuart downing etc all stars that left us is whatever happens Jack is Mr Villa he always will be and this won't change all those I named were employed by the club with zero allegience.
Our villa will move forward regardless a boy/man that loves a club so much has the hardest decisions to make our owners will do what's right and so will Jack in terms of what's right for him.
Buckle up guys this may get tough but as a club we will push on let's hope super Jack stays and leads us forward.

Varane probably has permission from his club to discuss terms. Grealish will definitely not. Nor do I believe is it happening.
The links are poor and think we agree when something is written refarding jack leaving the polar opposite is also written sayong he stays the truth is they don't know what's happening just make it up as they go.
Majority of players have zero loyalty to clubs it's a job pays bills etc.
Jack will always be a villa fan and as it stands that's a huge positive point imo.
Money does talk but sometimes all the money in the world cannot overpower the love someone has for his football team.

It used to be called ‘tapping up’, and it was widely frowned upon. Then lots of greedy ‘businessmen’ decided to exploit the riches of the Premier League and become super agents. Now it’s seen as fair game for them to get bored of only having £30m in the bank, so they start pushing to move their players on by approaching other clubs ‘off the record’.
Agents, much like jizz, leave a foul taste in the mouth.
Terrible behaviour yo me makes contracts worthless.all you need is the agents like you say going off record and messing football clubs up by unsettling players with the carrot dangler of more money.
The key card we have is Jack is Mr Villa, this regardless of what various links states makes him leaving very very much a hard decision.
If jack wasn't one of our own 100% he would go but his blood flows claret and blue.UTV

Morning everyone, just seen on sky sports news reference to Man United pursuit of Varane claimed United are discussing personal terms before thrashing out the cost of player.
How on earth can this happen with reference to Jack this situation is nothing but a unsettler. Let's say city offer jack 300k pw but have not got the funds to get close to our valuation This is totally bonkers imo.
Used to be can we buy player A B C we will pay 'x' amount, clubs either rejects or agrees and then personal terms thrashed out.
This jack situation couldn't be closer it's the flip of a coin.

What a ridiculous, pathetic and embarrassing thing to say. So we just dramatically improved defensively post lockdown magically. It was nothing to do with Smith using the time to improve himself as a coach and to improve our team and tactics? How are Lange and Purslow jokers? How exactly? Some people really want to be careful what they wish for. This is the best the club has been run for possibly 2 decades.
We was dam lucky and you know it dont give all the plaudits to smith he was a car crash for 30odd games he dosnt react or see whats wrong and that is true ans you know it. Sat in the holte end before lockdown he was clearlt out of his depth.

So far this is an awful window. Last seasom newly promoted was going to be tough. If this is club showing us were looking to push on then sorry th club is deluded. Smith has zero clue on tactics and team selection and lange and purslow are complete jokers who couldnt negotiate if there lives depend on it.

So...
We need to spend big money on proven players is what you're saying I guess. Would like to know which proven players we could attract.
So Piatek now hertha isnt worth trying would be alot less than 33mil thats for sure top league experience aswell. Thauvin linked said he want to stay. Test the water pit a bid get to comtract stage and sell the god dam club. Villa communicate poorly i bet they are like.rabbit in headlights. Fraser on a freebie also.

Well, last season I think a lot of us on here was disappointed that we missed out on Maupay as that was obviously Smith's choice of striker. I for one, am glad we're not going to be moaning about the same shit again this season with posts stating 'If only we didn't miss out on Watkins'. The fee is the fee and fair play to Brentford, all we can do is sign him and we're doing just that. I'd rather us pay a bit more now and get it over the line than trying to haggle a few million and risk losing out altogether.
We cant keep gambling on signings by paying huge fees on untested player . Wes samatta nakamba trez all inproven and struggled after doing well in the leagies we signed them from this watkins deal is a bigger risk.

£33m. One good season in the Championship. Hogan had one good season in the championship. As did Rudy Gestede.
That’s just insane money. They’d better really hope this one pays off. Brentford have properly pulled our pants down here. Can we really not scout for a better striker outside of Brentford?
This is football suicide imo and will be why we get relegated 44mil so far on championship players is pathetic. At that sort pf money we should.get somone that has played at highest level. YET AGAIN we are in the Young with potential marlet great in terms of business if sold on but will not work Football clubs need quality players this is what we are lacking.
