  1. Lots of talk in the chats about owners losing interest I'll mention one thing the redevelopment of villa park will not go ahead if they have, reason for this is if the product on the pitch is not upto standard they won't get 30k fans per week let alone full 50k capacity.

NSWE are staying to carry on the project they will not increase capacity to have empty seats for home games.

So.unkess they pull plug on villa park redevelopment I'm.nkt concerned.

Veretout took us down and was awful for us. He couldn't cope with PL football, EVER

And look how he turned out in Italy I mentioned what happend when he was chopped from the team the same as sanson your an argumentative so and so no actual focus but to respond with absolute drivel.

Sanson.will.be gone soon so knightmare will be over for him.

  3. If he's allowed to go.goodluck to him hope he shines and the villa hierarchy hold there head in shame  we got burnt with veretout and history will repeat itself.

Steven Gerrard and Dean Smith are not the greatest managers ever but both have got this wrong and they will both have something else in common................. Both will have been sacked by Aston Villa Fc.

  4. Good job Steve the clueless Gerrard is given a fair chance because if he had same fairness that sanson had he would of.gone last season and we would have a new manager.

So is it OK for a.pathetic clueless manager to get many chances but a 14mil player written off. If it a choice of Gerrard going or sanson turn the lights off Steve on way out, he won't turn this round not saying sanson is the saviour but he can do a job and that's more than i can say about Gerrard.

Has he really been treated badly? He’s not suited by 2 managers (which happens a lot in football). But it hardly constitutes bad treatment.

Has he been given a chance to show if he's suitable in game.........................No he hasn't.

14million down the drain let's keep wasting money on players and giving them zero chance. Some fans cannot see the big picture.

If he's played and rubbish we could all agree but he hasn't played he was Injured and then treated completely different to other players.

Everyday is a chance to impress in Training!

Also had plenty of games to impress in. played against Man United and gave a goal away then kicked bottles at the fans. Played against Chelsea in the cup, got injured. Lots and lots of chances.

The best trainers are not always the best players, mcginn rumoured to be a superb trainer yet in match days he's petrified of the ball and panics.

Matches are won in games not the training pitch, you work on tactics style etc and look.what it's got us pathetic performances so far the latter part of Smith reign and gerrards reign.

Even Dele Alli keeps getting transfers and he retired in 2018. Sanson is not very good and he probably has an attitude problem. Some of his tweets are inflammatory and unprofessional. He’s a bad egg and a bad signing. He is far from the messiah that some claim. Anybody claiming he is better than McGinn needs to give their head a wobble.

You need a head wobble never heard such rubbish in my life sanson has had I'll say it again ZERO CHANCE in a villa shirt but in the minimal.game time has looked better than mcginn.

He doesn’t. He thinks because we’ve not signed anyone recently there is no money.

Its likely we have been trying to sign players but have not got some of our first choices, and because we do business quietly, we are none the wiser.

Your spot on the ings and Chambers signings an example that we know nothing about are transfer dealings, I'll believe we're done when window shuts.

  9. 2 signings for me firstly a midfielder who can retain ball to play alongside kamara.

Secondly a CB either loan or small fee I'd like us to get Caleta-Car personally however if we don't get a CB aslong as the midfielder is signed I'm.happy.

    Sansons had plenty of chances

your joking right or crazy he's had an awful time at villa and not been given any chance.

I'd hardly call the opinion of Dean Smith and clueless Gerrard as a high pillar of deciding he's not good enough when neither gave him a fair chance. Look at How many chances mcginn, Luiz and Ramsey have had you cannot compare those 3 and sanson in terms of playing.

I thought Sanson played pretty good whenever he has come on but I am not a coach. I assume he doesnt fit what Deano or Gerrard are trying to do with the team shape. Could be his passing, pressing, stamina, tactical discipline,  but for whatever reason he doesnt seem to be a fit for us. Sucks for him and us but it is what it is.

His pressing and passing have been quality when he's played he made one mistake at home against united and he has a turn of pace.

Didn’t he have like an 87% pass rate from the w/e?????

One game on a consistent basis he is utter rubbish panics and petrified and unable to keep the ball, some fans haven't said he should be dropped on one bad performance he's been poor for plenty but he's steveis favourite.

  13. 2 minutes ago, Delphinho123 said:

Sorry, why is it abundantly clear it is? In his two performances this season, not once did he perform better than Chambers has when called upon. Carlos may well be the best centre half ever to play the game but we’ll probably never know. For now, Chambers is fine. A hugely underrated player by too many fans.

Anyway, back to my original point, we desperately need another ball playing central midfielder. Until we get one of those and keep the ball better in the middle of the pitch, our defence will be overrun regardless of who plays at centre half.

Spot on that midfielder who can keep the ball and pass is vital for villa this year. Kamara looks quality but with mcginn and Ramsey giving the ball away we Will crumble.

Mcginn is petrified of the ball he gets it and panics.

He only had a handful of games where he was fit under Smith, and when he was fit needed to be blooded in slowly. Don't think his lack of playing time is indicative of not being fancied. Smith was the one that brought him into the club.

When he first came in, he was getting minutes off the bench, then he had a run of 3 starts out of 4 then got injured. Next season he started to work his way back into the team, had a good performance against Chelsea in the cup, then got reinjured. He's only really been fully fit and raring to go in the last 6-8 months really.

And sanson has shown more than  pur skipper but not on gerrards favourite list.

If Gerrard wants to manage like this then he will get people questioning his capabilities he dosnt treat his players the same and he gives more chances to some than others. The way Gerrard has dealt with mings, sanson and traore is not a great selling point for the club the latter 2 no where to be seen in match day squads.

  15. How long until Gerrard when under pressure singles out Carlos Injury as reason for us struggling, he will deflect anything from himself.

Simple facts he hasn't been good enough, I think the reason for the lack of spending we will do in this window is purely down to the trust the club have in Gerrard, he is clearly a chuck enough muck and hope something sticks, he's one dimensional in approach and treats players disgustingly namely Morgan sanson, why he's played pre season yet now not available is a joke.

    Not a chance.

I know you’re obsessed with Carlos and this ball playing centre half we so desperately need (I’m not even sure Carlos is that player) but I’d much rather spend whatever money is left on another central midfielder instead of another centre half.

The truth like delphinho states we need to spend the money on upgrades to the piss poor midfield because if we don't get a midfielder in to complement kamara dosnt matter what CB we have we will be totally overrun in midfield.

A defence under intense pressure will always succumb eventually when the midfield.dosnt do its job.

I mostly agree with that, it is a tough call though. However, before the transfer window opened it is clear that the people at Villa decided that a CB was the priority position, hence they spend 26m on one and not on a CM. To go and buy a CM now ahead of a CB would surely require them to reverse that decision.

Yeah I get ya totally regarding the 26mil spent and now we have zero product due to injury.

Our midfield is weak we cannot retain ball and the passing of the so called skipper pathetic, he has hit his ceiling and shwoing weak in now he isn't upto it.

My description of the villa midfield is we have a potential rolls Royce in Kamara and then a basic player mcginn playing alongside him.

Us fans have seen our midfield overrun so many times inviting pressure on the defence, I'd like a double pivot 2 infront of the defence Kamara and Sanson, the latter cannot get alook in so therefore we need to someone to partner kamara.

A long shot could be play nakamba and kamara as a 2 with one from mcginn Luiz and Ramsey as the 3rd player.

  18. If its a straight choice another quality midfielder or another CB the midfielder must be the priority we cannot keep the ball and this is the key to our season, control or have more control of games should put less pressure on the defence.

The 4 current fit CB should be good enough if the upgrade midfielder is purchased.

If villa prioritise the defence over  midfield we will be overrun and picked off because Luiz Ramsey and mcginn just aren't strong enough.

  19. A manager who can manage and get a tune out of the players we have could keep us moving forward as with Carlos injured as someone mentioned me have 1 new player in first eleven.

Gerrard has shown absolutely nothing to me other than a record of mediocrity he has a player in sanson who could do a great job for us the midfield seriously worries me.

    Mcginn

    Ramsey

Kamara just isn't strong enough however if Gerrard gave his head a wobble and placed sanson in the midfield the strength of both sanson and kamara would allow Gerrards favourite mcginn to play.

So to recap imo a defender we can get to January without but a midfielder must be a priority someone needs to be brought to play alongside kamara.
