  1. And Hughes has a well established history of riling Pulis and Mancini. They won't be in charitable mood.
  2. Blackburn have to win both games (one of which is away against Chelsea) and hope we lose both of ours to have any chance to stay up. Even then they need a 14 goal swing. If they do that, they deserve to stay up
  3. re-corking champagne is futile Maybe you could enlist the help of Nigel Reo-Corker
  4. He also deserves better than the Baggies. A few Boggies I know are getting a bit big for their boots. We'll claim back our 'Kings of the Midlands' (not a great boast) title back next season
  5. We were also 11 points clear of the drop zone with 10 games left (having just beaten Fulham). That was under 2 months ago
  6. Equally, the following could happen. We're all level on points going into the last game of the season. However, the week before United had a shock draw against Swansea whilst Citeh beat Newcastle 3-0. We're 2-0 down against Norwich and Eck takes off Agbonlahor and brings on Eric Lichaj. Meanwhile, over at the Council House, Citeh only need a draw, as do QPR, not least when Villa go 3 down. Cue each team running down the clock passing it around amongst their defenders.
  7. Leeds United might have something to say about that. 2 things. Firstly, I genuinely believe that we are a bigger club than they are and, secondly, their demise was expected with all the money they spunked up the wall on trying to get into the champions league. Newcastle? You're having a laugh?
  8. Let's all follow the Tangerine dream. Come on Olly (even though you're a prize knob yourself). Saying that, it'd be equally good if one John Carew scored the Wembley winner against them.
  9. Agree with the common opinion. Everyone has to tow the party line. Not like they can come out and say 'You fans think you have it bad? You should try working day in day out with the incompetent chunt'.
  10. Let's face it, if we did go down it would be the biggest relegation in premiership history. A team that has been premier league ever presents and battling for 4th not so long ago. The biggest club in the second city... At least we can boast that we were the biggest ever team to get relegated from the prem.
  11. How on earth are we down if we fail to equal or better QPR's result against Stoke? Does QPR getting a better result than us mean that they will get 4 points and The final game of the season is deemed void? Literally, all 4 of the things you have to listed have to happen for us to go down. Thats why were 22/1 1/ Stoke City beat QPR 2/ Man City beat QPR 3/ WBA beat Bolton 4/ Stoke City beat Bolton 5/ Tottenham beat Villa 6/ Norwich City beat Villa If any one of the above things from 1-4 or the reverse of 5-6 does happen, we’re safe. Equally, if one of the below happens we SURVIVE 1/ We equal or better QPR’s result against Stoke. 2/ We equal or better QPR’s result against Man City (who I should add have only dropped two points at home all season. 3/ We equal or better Bolton’s result against WBA. 4/ We equal or better Bolton’s result against Stoke. Apologies.... Edited
  12. To put in lay man's terms, over the course of this season, the fact that at least three teams have shown themselves to be marginally more $hit than us, we could just be safe.
  13. For us to go down, none of the following can happen. 1/ Stoke City beat QPR 2/ Man City beat QPR 3/ WBA beat Bolton 4/ Stoke City beat Bolton 5/ Tottenham beat Villa 6/ Norwich City beat Villa If any one of the above things from 1-4 or the reverse of 5-6 does happen, we’re safe. Equally, if one of the below happens we’re down. 1/ We fail to equal or better QPR’s result against Stoke. 2/ We fail to equal or better QPR’s result against Man City (who I should add have only dropped two points at home all season. 3/ We fail to equal or better Bolton’s result against WBA. 4/ We fail to equal or better Bolton’s result against Stoke. This is why we’re 22/1 against going down. It’s also why you never see a bookie on a bike.
  14. Grhrayib! Remember our scout at the time describing him as the best left back he'd ever seen.
  15. Hughes also has history with Tiny Penis. I'm sure he'd love to get one over on him.
  16. Let us also remember. Mancini and Hughes aren't exactly the best of friends. Regardless of whether or not City still have a shot at the title, they won't roll over and let QPR tickle their bellies
  17. Some bookies still offering 7-1 on Villa. Seems good odds. Obviously they haven't seen our recent performances.
  18. 'Enjoying' is probably the wrong world. It's laugh or cry I guess. If it was any other team it would be hilarious. What was patently obvious when we hired this clown back in June is turning into reality (albeit on a larger scale). I couldn't be at the game yesterday but the fact that at half time I checked my phone and was happy with the 0-0 score line says it all. We're going nowhere. Why not prepare ourselves for a few championship road trips!?
  19. Not an entirely pointless statement. I'm mature enough now to feel passionate about football and care about Villa immensely, but also balance it against what is really important in life. Football is after all just a game. And, yes, I never wanted us to lose but I can appreciate the comical elements of this. I call it gallows humour. The very fact that two men (Randy and Faulkner) can have so little grip on reality as to employ someone who has a history of relegating teams. What was blindingly obvious to anyone who has a small amount of knowledge about football has come home to roost. It is funny. It is funny how we were all on here yesterday hoping that Mark Bleeding Davies failed his fitness test and was unable to play. It is catastrophical, comical and sad in equal measure
  20. The thing with Wigan though is that 5 or 6 games ago no one was saying they wished Martinez had accepted. Wigan have been miserable up until recently. For me, Paul Lambert would be a great replacement. Maybe have a word in his ear on the last game of the season.
  21. it also brings the issue out into the open, alternatively you could let it bimble along as it is now and not look "smalltime" in the fizzy pop league I think Randy and the General have already shown that they won't listen to the fans. Yes, they'll put a mosaic up on the Holte End if you ask nicely, but that's your lot. Come the big decisions Randy will not revert from choosing himself a yes man. The only way that is going to change is either by him opening his eyes to our mammoth decline or someone else buying him out. There is the option of staying away, yes. That is equally frowned upon by some people, but a lot less hypocritical than having a protest then renewing your season ticket/paying upwards of 30 quid to get a ticket. My protest is to stay away but I cant knock any form of protest even if it is way to late, will have very little backing and have no use. To sit back mouths shut is in my opinion as good as saying "go on Alex/Randy, you we accept what you are doing" If there was any chance of a satisfactory conclusion, I would be the first one with my bed sheet and spray can. Trouble is, I believe it to be futile. People who buy football clubs are, by their very nature, stubborn, egotistical ba$tards who sadly won't listen to you or I. We tried to get rid of Doug for years and years and he only went because he was knocking on and someone made him a decent offer. Otherwise I'm sure he would still be there. Be it football or other walks of life, protesting has never had much impact. From the peasants revolt all the way to anti war protesting and student fees protests. They're newsworthy at the time but the next day they're fish and chip paper - a mild inconvenience but not an insurmountable obstacle for those in the corridors of power. Someone should tell my wife protests dont work. Daft mare still thinks she's got the vote. OK there are examples. You give me an effective protest and I'll give you an ineffective one though

  24. I don't say it to get a rise out of people, I say it because a) it's ineffective, and it turns us into a laughing stock.
