  1. He's a good player, you can tell he has quality and he has shown it throughout his career.

The problem is like any player coming from a foriegn league he needs time to adjust and it's going to be twice as difficult playing in a 4-4-2. Due to strong pressing from Newcastle midfield he felt he had to release the ball a lot quicker when he reality at times he could have took an extra touch. Also whenever making a tackle he didn't seem strong enough, something which will be worked on. His actual accuracy of the tackling is quite good but there is never any weight behind it.

Any time we have 4-5-1 for the rest of the season I think he can be used, but in a 4-4-2 system he will just be a passenger at the moment.

I loved his pass for Bents offside goal though, he was doing that all the time in France. We will see the best of Jean II next season :)

  2. The ignorance of some on here amazes me.

Great Britain consists of England Scotland and Wales.

The United Kingdom is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The Replublic of Ireland is neither part of Britain nor the UK

The Channel Islands and the Isle of man are crown dependancies and not part of the UK.

Wahey, someone knows what he is talking about!

  3. mary-and-max-poster1.jpg

    Brilliant film.

Visually everything is so detailed and important to a scene.

The story is very emotional, yet humorous at the same time.

I think more people need to see the film to understand people like Max in particular and Mary.

    9/10

  4. Hard to judge MOTM personally. Forrester and Albrighton had very good first halves but were very quiet in the second. Gardner on the other hand was consistently good in both. Salifou and Herd also had decent games. Thought Baker was a bit shakey at CB, got turned very easily, especially for their goal.

As DVIN says, Bradley was quiet, looked a bit off pace to me but was tidy in possession.

  5. It wasn't the transfer fees that crippled them it was the wages.

    Hello John Utaka

Amazingly defensive of Mr Redknapp, why should we judge our opinion of him as to what he is like as a person if you spend time with him. We won't get the chance. Therefore we have every right to base our opinions on what we see and hear.

The guy has been a prat at Villa Park, a prat in the media and I barely know anyone who likes him.

Everything is just so co-incidental with Redknapp, it's not as if the media are out to get him either ...

  6. Corrupt, a liar, completely egotistic, arrogant, disloyal, club destroyer.

    What a load of bollocks.

    * Corrupt: what has he ever been found guilty of? Answer - nothing. But I'm sure you "just know" he's corrupt, in the same way that some other football fans "just know" that Wenger is a paedophile.

    * A liar: what has he lied about (apart from maybe feigning denial of interest in signing a player that he later has signed)? Answer - nothing.

    * Completely egotistical: this conclusion is based on what, exactly?

    * Disloyal: do you mean unlike O'Neill, who walked out on Villa just days before the season began?

    * Club destroyer: Yep, the heart and soul of Spurs is being wrecked by the prospect of playing against Real Madrid in the CL QFs, no question about it. How did we ever let Harry drag us down this far?

    I will make two points...

Disloyal= Portsmouth and Southampton, not sure why O'Neill has any relevance to this?

Club destroyer= Bournemouth, Southampton and Portsmouth. All got into financial difficulty after 'Arry. Or is it some massive coincedence :o:o:o:o:o

  7. looks a very poor player imo - some of those tackles are so mis timed - its embarassing. If this is the calibre of the player GH thinks can transform the club - heaven help us.

I feel any new manager will ship him out pronto ....providing anyone wants him that is

Wow, talk about giving people a chance...

  8. Even though he would probably be the 1st to admit he did not have a good game yesterday there is something about this player that excites me.

Its been a while since we have had a player that has such an eye for an attacking pass, and the skill to pull it off, the last I can remember was the magic man Merson.

You can see that parts of the game are passing him by at the moment but we have to remember that a lot of players are simply lost when exposed to the premiership. He will improve when he learns how to play here properly and he gets over the steep learning curve needed to flourish, and flourish he will IMO.

I am genuinely looking forward to seeing him play next season.

    Excellently put.

  9. Played a few nice balls again but it's always gonna be hard for a player to come into a new league in a relegation fight. Especially when you're not the type of player suited for it.

    So unlucky with the penalty.
