It will be very difficult for Downing to replicate last season. I am not sure he has it in him. Hope he does though

It will be hard to accept finishing in that kind of area bearing in mind that the team will have had a full pre-season and there wont be the kind of upheaval that there was last season. I reckon we'll finish 10th or 11th. I will be optimistic and say we will finish 7th with a good cup run. Everton will struggle, so will Spurs if they lose Modric. Up the Villa!

So if he finished top 4 with us you would still say he was not a good manager? Of course I wouldn't, but can you really see that happening? No but I think he should be judged like any other manager. Give some repect to a guy who has pumped £200m into the club. You may not agree with his choice but he deserves some respect. If not step upto the plate and buy the club yourself

and just remind me how two of his 3 seasons in the premiership ended despite him instilling enough discipline in the noses team to have one of the best defensive records. Pannu has been too loose lipped on contract details, the e-mail and the statement on the website pretty much saying that if AM did not get them up next season he would be sacked.
