Anyone notice on the BBC website football section that City signing Sylvinho is bigger news than this match? Or is it just me?

fantastic result, really hard fought...
...but some of you are going a little ott!!
friedel was our man of the match - and a good thing too otherwise it could have been a completely different outcome.
shots on target: liv 12 villa 4
shots of target: liv 9 villa 3

a great win, classic away performance. we scored goals and took three points - but we were the second best team on the pitch. i know that he who scores more wins, but we arent suddenly a team ready to kick down the doors of the champions league i'm afraid. after the wigan shambles it is a great lift for everyone and hopefully now the lads will get some confidence back but lets not use this win to paper over the cracks that have been developing either because all of the problems with the squad are still there.
Absolute bullshit my good man. We were of course the better team, every single pundit and Liverpool fan agrees.

PaulB AVFC: The buzz going around the press box is that NRC will play right-back, with Ciaran Clark partnering Carlos Cuellar. We shall see..

Goats milk still counts as dairy.

I appreciate your post General but why are we even in tough times?
Isn't it self inflicted?

A Villa manager has somehow made it to his 4th season.
Some Villa fans are getting restless.
-
Who's going to take out penalties this year? Guessing Milner?
-
Most boring footballer i have ever seen and way overrated...NO i wouldn't take him back and im so glad he has finally gone. I'd been asking for him to leave for years.
He's a very good player when used properly, but yes, he is a boring player.

Anyone see the 3 bluenose fans talking on SSN? 1st guy and 3rd were somewhat normal.
The 2nd guy seemed to be on day release from some kind of institution.
-
NRC has shaved his head, and seems to have his wrist strapped.
-
We should see a long range goal today I think.
-
DO NOT watch Observe and report, the film with Seth Rogen.
It's not funny and has no story line.
-
Just thinking, who the hell is going to be taking our penalties? A lot of youngsters against one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
*gulp*
edit: that makes no sense actually!

The older they get, the more Springsteen and Del Piero look alike.
Who's that fat bloke speaking to Sidwell?
I was wondering that. AB his initials were.
I checked the OS and there is an Alan butler in the coaching staff, the head masseur. :?

unlucky del boy.

Bannan and Giovinco should have a boxing match. Should be fun.

Lichaj looks like a young Roy Keane.
-
Can somebody just confirm what time the game kicks off as I'm getting everything from 8:30pm GMT to 10:30pm GMT !!!
It's on at 9pm GMT
-
Both Eric Lichaj and Marc Albrighton are available for selection this evening. The only player who misses out is Emile Heskey, due to his sending off against Porto.
From the OS

Gary Gardner, Dominik Hofbauer and James Collins will all link up with Martin O'Neill's first team squad for the Peace Cup final tomorrow.
The young trio have been granted permission by tournament organisers to join the Villa party to replace the injured Stiliyan Petrov, Jonathan Hogg and Luke Young.
Gary is the younger brother of Craig and has played a starring role in midfield for both the reserve and youth teams over the past few seasons alongside Hofbauer, a compatriot of Andreas Weimann.
James Collins has been prolific for the academy sides over the past few seasons.
MON resisted the urge the to add the U-21 trio anyway. Seems like he would have been allowed.
