We can't score goals. We can't defend. We can't keep the ball. We have been thumped three games in a row, twice at home. Worst GD in the league. There is not a single reason to be positive right now. Not one. We are in absolute dire straits.

Two things that worry more than anything else... It's not that Paul lambert isn't a top manager that horrifies me, it's that he actually is that is far scarier. Secondly, the defending for the goals was as bad as I have EVER seen at Villa Park. Beyond abysmal. The reason we are in this position is because our players are absolute shite. It's just that simple. Some of them wouldn't start for a mid table championship side. Marc Albrighton as an impact player? Our starting XI is the worst in the league outside of Reading.

I'm not calling for his head but I've seen nothing from Paul Lambert to suggest we are going anywhere as a club. This is actually worse than last season. In fact, in each of the last 3 seasons I have this is the lowest point in my Villa supporting life. Just when you think it can't get worse, it does.

Even bigger than Reading this one. Not least for the 3 points but for the performance. Failure to win this and things get very ugly, very quickly. If ever we need a comfortable 3-0 victory its today. We dont want to be 0-0 or worse after 80 minutes like against Reading. Over to you Lambert.

Utterly embarrassing. A disgrace to the good name of our football club. Whether or not Lambert is the right man is open to debate. What isn’t open to debate is that he is accountable for this rubbish being served up. That midfield today was asking to be run over and as for the stupid 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 system... It's failure of comical proportions. I await the apologists to come in here and defend this mess, just as they did after the 8-0. This is not a work in progress. We have 19 games to save ourselves from the ultimate disaster. We don’t have time for works in progress. We need improvement and points right now. I was non-perplexed after the 8-0 because I chalked it down to a one-off. And now days later we have been humped further and even easier. Under Houllier and McCleish it was bad, very bad but we weren’t humiliated to this extent. This is the lowest eb of our football club in 20 years of me watching them. I'm absolutely furious with what I have witnessed. It’s a complete disgrace that we have let this happen to ourselves.
