  1. He cant leave anytime soon now he's said this. Because, quite simply, I will hunt him down.
  2. Disagree with SellyOak and Bauer about turning the bells off pre-game. They sound fantastic, at least they will do next season when it doesn't conjure up thoughts of this season.
  3. Beat me to it cracker. Him signing a 4 year contract will be great for the club to be semi-confident of keeping him for atleast another 2 years, would be better if we could push him to a 5yr deal like Newcastle have been doing recently. Makes no difference to the player in my mind, if they want to go they are usually allowed just means a bigger fee usually to the selling team. Either way, ecstatic.

New St. Mackies and a quick shag round the back of an Asda. Top night.
  5. so do i, i think he's by far the best english keeper, i have no idea why man utd let him go Highest Shots:Save ratio from any keeper in the prem
  6. Lambert was O'Neils captain for the 5 years MON managed Celtic.. Pretty sure there would be some friendship and if MON has a bad view of the club Lambert may not want to get involved? Thats not for sure though but it would certainly be like taking a young MON on as manager
  7. He said 'too close' to O'Neill, which I take to mean they are friends. Oh, shit. In that case its hugely relevant Yeah I think MON mentored him or something? If i remember rightly? (could be talking trash lol) Even Robbie Savage was saying Lambert is a spitting image of MON on the touchline.. cant find his tweet now, saying that the tracksuit, the way he commands his team and even the way he rolls his sleeves up are like a spitting image of MON
  8. Half your backline has already gone to AC Milan.
  9. Westwood on a free? we should be getting ON that tbf. There are alot of free's about, although some are already on their way elsewhere, it'd be fairly easy to get a decent squad out of the free's this season -----------Ochoa/Westwood L.Young----Mexes---Clark----Taiwo ----------------M.Diarra -------------Altintop-Delph Downing----------------------Marvaeux -------------------Bent. No money spent Never gunna happen.
  10. Really? A load of 20-40 yr old men couldnt do without their manager for one night whilst he scouts out new players? Pfft. Shit happens but it wasn't Houlliers fault because he wasn't babysitting Dunne and Collins 24/7.
  11. Talking about that Spurs v AC Milan trip, someone who works at Birmingham airport said yesterday that Kevin Prince Boateng was boarding a flight yesterday...What was he doing in Birmingham? Houllier goes to watch AC Milan play, KPB is spotted at Birmingham airport....Hmmm "Rumour started by me" Dont toy with our emotions!
  12. [_________] had PL experience he was rubbish. [_________] had PL experience he was good. As mentioned before we can go on and on about this. So you're basically saying we should only limit ourselves to managers who have Premier League experience? I would rather we be adventurous and widen the options instead of having a pass the parcel type manager. Im pretty sure we were after somebody with top level experience. This could be a top international manager, champions league experience, top manager from La Liga. Dont think we said Prem experience, but I could be wrong.
  13. Quique Flores would be a very good shout
  14. ^ Not completely out of the realm of possibility!
  15. Some of them actually think they will get: Olsson Sturridge Krancjar Gary Gardner Demba Ba Rodallega Park Maxi Lopez this summer. Their reasoning for Sturridge? 'He's from brum and we're in Europe'.
  16. But it's not likely we will get Curbishley. There is a small possibility, it is unlikely. When something is likely it has more than a 50% chance of happening. Curbishley is not likely.
  17. No i didnt say its pointless to speculate. I said its pointless to moan about something that hasnt happened yet. Bitching about us using the agency again and taking Curbishley as manager. You say these things but these weird little moans make up your whole negative slant on your posts. but often, the things your talkign about haven't happened. It's just the most negative thing you could have thought of and then used it as the basis to moan about something.
  18. At what point did i talk about how they go about making the decision of which manager? I didnt. I dont understand your need to just take your cynicism and negativity an extra step every single time somebody disagrees with you. Go on, throw a random negative quote and randomly use the word 'ambition' out of context again.. Sigh. I presume they will use headhunters to draw up a list, but I still dont get how people are bitching about decisions the board haven't made yet. It's pointless.
  19. What so trying to recruit a manager while GH is still in post - is easier than sacking him and then bringing in a replacement ? I didnt say do it behind GH's back as he will no doubt already know what is going on. What im saying is before they announce GH's departure to the world, they should have already atleast contacted managers as to get a replacement in ASAP. Or do you believe we live in a world where the clubs will tell fans everything instantly. It's certainly the feeling i get from some people on here, that we will know anything as soon as it happens.
  20. Benitez is not the right man. Ancellotti will be on his way to Roma or an Italian team. Villas-Boas and Wilkins however would be a great combination if a little [alot] bit in dreamland.
  21. And what if we dont have anybody lined up because they are still doing their job? We'll look stupid going a month without a manager again.
  22. Are you saying we're currently a well run club? We wouldn't have to 'sack' Houllier. He should have (at the very least) left by mutual consent before the West Brom game giving us a better option than Gary Mac who's the cancer of this club. I dont think the team is run well at the moment. But the club is on its way to being run very well yes. With the wage bill being reduced, revenue has been increasing year on year since Randy took over, the club listens to the fans a lot more than most other clubs (but not to the point where its to the detriment of the team a la Portsmouth). The team and the club are two very different things, yes they are linked. But the way that Randy is trying to get the club as a business is run very well. That does not mean Houllier has run the team very well. If we were to sack our manager now and sack GMac now, we'd have to get our 5th manager of the season in. Spend a month without a manager, then appoint our 6th manager in 12 months. That is not a well run club, that is Newcastle territory. We are not Newcastle. So to answer your question, yes I do think the club is run well.
  23. That or they cant speak to managers currently attached to a club. So wait for 2 weeks after the end of the season. Cut Houllier out and bring in a replacement instantly = good business. Sack houllier now, try and talk to managers, who still have a job to do and get pissed off with the club, so stay where they are. Spend a month without a manager before bringing in somebody half-hearted and shit = lose our players and look like a shitly run club.
