irreverentad
Hello Jetsetters! I am looking to go away for a short weekend break at the start of December. I really want to go to to a European Christmas market. I have looked at potentially going to Munich, Berlin & Brussels so far. Has anyone been to any of these ones or even any other good markets? Eames
Brugges. Chocolate, 12% draught beer, nice shops, lots to see and do. Driveable (1 1/2 the other side of the Chunnel), parking under the city centre is cheap, some lovely hotels who throw in parking for really silly money (10 euros for 2 days?!) Google the Prinsenhoff. Pilchard
Berlin is ace- both as a city and the Xmas market. So much to do - entertainment, culture, shopping - the lot.
NurembergVillan Posted October 30, 2011 Moderator Share Posted October 30, 2011 I'm going to (surprise!) Nuremberg at the end of November for the start of the Christkindlesmarkt. It's the amazing and dates back to the 1620s - I'd recommend it to anybody. I got good priced flights with Swiss via Zurich.
