Awol
Good read. The Press are scum but the NOTW is generally in a league of it's own.

Richard
The NOTW will merely report that Villa have announced what they will be doing on 9th November AFTER their report that we had banned poppy sales and that it was them wot changed our minds. EnglishVillan
Great article, well written. I do have to question villa's plan to hold a collection for ACORNS and THE POPPY APPEAL on the same day. This weekend is all about remembering those who have lost their lives at a time of war and giving thanks to those who continue to put their lives at risk everyday in our armed forces in Iraq and Afghanistan (and other places around the world). Acorns is a fantastic charity and im very proud that villa are suporting them, but couldnt today just be about the poppy appeal? I can only recall being given the chance to donate to acorns once this season (liverpool i think) so why do another collection on this day of all days? Collections should be done at every home match for acorns but todays match should be about the poppy appeal. UP THE VILLA
