tonyh29 Posted April 21, 2022 Share Posted April 21, 2022 officially dubbed the dullest place on the planet , but i went there for Christmas with the kids a few years back and we quite enjoyed it ..not a OTT as Dubai , though saying that with the prep for the World cup it could well be by another Dubai now we did a day tour where they took as on a dune safari by 4 x4 , lunch on a private beach , visit to some rich dudes private museum ( actually quite interesting) and finished up at the race track and saw the racing the old town up by the pearl is kinda Ok think its called Souq Waqif ? walk past the pearl on you are on the Corniche , popular with the locals and good for people watching and saying hello to the locals lot of it is new and different shopping malls ..but once you've marvelled at the design they are just shopping malls worth checking out sporting events in advance , Andy Murray , nadal and co were in town when we were there and Barcelona played a friendly match as well ... didn't know about any of them until after the event !!
