One continuous long line of input?

With the formatting turned off, is there a way to get the text to wrap around inside the text box instead of scrolling on and on along the same line. It makes it unnecessarily difficult to read back over the post you've just written for proofing etc before submitting it.
 
This is a new development (in so far as it didn't happen the last time I was here).

I attach this screenshot as an example of the rest of this post being missing.

Oh and before anyone says "just turn the formatting switch on", no because that's a horrible way of composing a post and if you're responding to a post with a lot of formatting in it then it can be become quite a mess.
 
FYI I use Firefox on WinXP in case it's browser/OS specific.

It wraps for me, as long as there are some spaces. Can you try another browser? Or a "private" window?

 

I think the text editor is a javascript which gets downloaded. Clearing your cache might fix this.

 

At the end of the day, your OS is no longer supported and you are likely to get incompatibilities like this. Can I recommend elementaryOS to replace it?

Looks like it wraps correctly in Chrome and IE11 but not in FF. Running browsers on Win 8 when I did the test.

Yep, just testing it in Chrome and it wraps. Bugger. I ain't switching. I'll figure something else out
