dont_do_it_doug.
Has anyone ever used one of these? I have no need for live TV except for football, for which I can stream. So I want the most comprehensive streaming device there is and this seems to fit the bill over Chromecast.
limpid Posted November 30, 2014 Administrator Share Posted November 30, 2014 I've got a Roku Soundbridge somewhere. It doesn't help much with your question, but was a good audio streamer.
Xela
Yes. Got a Roku streaming stick in the back of my non smart TV. Works a treat. Enables me to view all the catch up services (iPlayer, 4OD, etc) on my TV as well as subscription services like Netflix and Now TV (I subscribe to both). Also got YouTube on there and a plethora of other free channnels. The only major omission is Amazon Prime Instant Video (formerly Lovefilm), which is no biggie for me to be honest as Netflix and Now TV give me everything I need. It's a doddle to set up and I've had no issues with it
