trekka Posted January 19, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) I've had my Olympus E-500 DSLR for yonks and it looks like I may be on a few trips this year. It's an old camera, a bit clunky and I'm looking for something a bit more lightweight, cheap(!), can capture decent shots and with a decent zoom. I'm looking to sell off the DSLR and get something a bit more compact (for now!). Anybody have any recommendations or tips? Zhan_Zhuang
Really funny you should post this, I was going to ask some advice too! I was looking at this but wondered if it would take good photos at night? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-DSCHX50-Compact-Digital-Camera/dp/B00CH08M0G/ref=reg_hu-rd_add_1_dp
samjp26
I just bought this bad boy: Samsung NX300 Review: http://www.digitalcamerareview.com/default.asp?newsID=5351&review=Samsung+NX300+mirrorless Some images taken with it: http://500px.com/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&page=1&commit=&q=NX300&type=photos&media_type=any&category=&order=votes&license_type=-1 So far it seems quite nice, I'm yet to test it properly yet as I literally bought it earlier today. The images I've seen online on Flickr and 500px are what sold it to me, amazing to say the least!
trekka Posted January 31, 2014 Author VT Supporter Share Posted January 31, 2014 Thanks. That looks nice but a little out of my price range. I'm looking for something on a budget (like £200 max) to get me taking pics on the go. Hmmm, maybe I need to save some more!
