  1. Too many fans get too excited about one result. Look at the bigger picture and only when we are the dominant force in home games and we can string a good run of positive results together should we really get excited.

I don't agree, we should get excited by this, City are a team that are targetting the title.. it's a massive result really.

I also think we should've won the Birmingham game too based on the amount of times we hit the woodwork.. plenty of other things to get excited about too, hopefully this is just the start.

You are entitled to your opinion and to get excited if you want to. Some people can see beyond one game and some can't. I want this to be the start of something great but will temper my emotions until I see the evidence of long term success.

  2. Good to get the 3 points but don't get carried away. We got a good result at Stamford Bridge then followed it up with a home defeat to Blunderland.

We have to shake off the MON style of defending for 85 minutes at home before we can say that we have arrived.

However, today may be the start of something good. I hope it is but I would prefer to watch and wait rather than be blinkered and get all excited about winning one game in which we could have got hammered.

  3. Yes we need a unique and recognisable chant from the supporters. How about keeping it simple yet meaningful. I have changed some of the words and moved the verses around but here goes.

To the tune of ‘There’ll Always Be An England’

    There'll always be a Villa,

    While there's a busy street,

    Wherever there's a turning wheel,

    A million marching feet.

    There'll always be a Villa,

    While there's a football game,

Wherever there's a match to play,

    You’ll always hear our name.

(Then just keep chanting: Villa, Villa, Villa, Villa etc. etc. until the chant fades.)

  4. See below a quote from a Bluenoses on the SHA fans site. Even they know they have shit support!!

'It was shocking really - embarrassing. The noon kick off, on TV, just after Christmas, the trouble last time - all had a part to play, though it should still be a sell out against Villa.

'The fact remains that we've got a small fan base, and a lot of apathy still surrounds the club, and yet we still expect the club to shell out £millions on players and wages of £50,000 a week.

If we got to Wembley, we'd have 50,000 loyal fans though.'

  5. The attendance at SHA for such an important local derby was a disgrace. I never want to hear of them looking at building a 50,000 seater stadium again. The can't even fill their poxy little ground now and it only holds about 28,000. Their support is a joke and they have been, still are, always be, the worst supported team in Birmingham.

  6. Next fixtures

    Man City (H)

    Wigan Athletic (A)

    Manchester United (A)

    Fulham (H)

    Blackpool (A)

    Blackburn Rovers (H)

    Bolton Wanderers (A)

    Wolverhampton Wanderers (H)

I went on the side of caution but my predictions till puts us 7 points above the drop a zone on March 1st

Those games take us upto 30 games? not 27?

Bolton and Wolves are after 1st March.

  7. SHA will get a reduced allocation when they next visit VP so it will even itself out. The less scum from them at the next VP meeting can't be a bad thing. They have a minority of decent fans but most of them are pond life.

  8. Nothing less than a win is acceptable against SHA.

We are in a disgraceful league position 2nd from bottom going into this game with over half the season gone.

Looking at the league table and seeing the shit clubs that are above us in January is sickening and we are worse off now than we were before O'Neil and Lerner came in.

To go into a game against SHA as the underdogs is an absolute disgrace and Lerner had better do something about this mess quick.
