Slightly different take but did he post that Mao quote after the West Ham game? If so did Valencia play last night? Perhaps it was him (albeit poorly) trying to get across the idea that seeing something (i.e. A new player) live and sat around fans of their current club who will have unfiltered opinions and not be influenced by coaches/agents is better than just reading a scout report.

The stream I was listening to was about a minute behind. I thought they would score and was about to place bets on Villa no clean sheet at 8/1 and the draw at 12/1. Bet365 was running slowly and by the time it got there they'd scored. Even more frustrating.

I'm sure it will have already been said on these pages, but I'm sure our capitulation at their place contributed in them going on to win the league. As well as the obvious 3 points I'm sure they developed the 'never say die' attitude from winning that game; and proving to themselves they could do it.

Lambert got back to back promotions with Norwich granted, he finished one season 12th. Moyes consistently kept everton up on small budget which i think is a greater success. Lamberts a championship manager,Moyes is a premier league one.
