Really can't see us dropping the £40m they want considering we now have Watkins, Wesley, Traore and Davis as options.
-
those type of games just don't suit him because he isn't great on the ball. he's at his best in transitions. his performances recently have been really poor.

i think werder's result yesterday will hasten a departure. they need money for players as soon as possible.

Considering he is a left footed inside forward he won't be a regular.
Jack plays there.
what are you on about? jack plays on the left and is right footed. do you even watch us play?

Didn't realize this forum changed to North Korea Talk where we must simply fall into line and accept and praise every player that is signed.
Anyway I have said my piece about this player as both a Lyon fan and an observer of French football. I hope I am proved completely wrong. And I'll certainly back him to succeed the moment he puts on a Villa shirt.
my problem isn't with anyone giving their two cents on the player. that's what the forum is for. it's with people basing their opinion solely on the opinion of other people and openly admit they won't give him a chance as a result.
i care how he plays for aston villa, not lyon.

Djimi Traore wasn't a bad player.
ironically, i'm sure liverpool fans would tell you otherwise

Dunno about that.
Just expand on that, Trez and AEG now got a season of experience in the PL and are settled in the squad. Traore isn't. And lets be honest, quality wise he looks like a very shite Adama Traore.
on the ball, he makes adama look like someone who only started playing yesterday. adama obviously more explosive but bertrand looks better in terms of control and dribbling.

hopefully a change of scenery and a healthy run of games will rebuild his confidence. i read somewhere that he feels like he deserves more credit from lyon fans, so he shouldn't be lacking in motivation.
i'm not going to write him off before he even kicks a ball for us.

I'm a Lyon fan. Have watched him loads. Don't rate him and neither do most other supporters. He has been overtaken in the team by Karl Toko Ekambi, who himself is not that great. Sorry for sounding like a broken record, it's mostly the fee I find outrageous. If we signed him for 5 to 6M, he would have been worth a punt. At 20M I want a far more refined player.
foreign teams are always going to hold english teams to a ransom to be fair

1 goal in 23 games doesn't sound like John Carew.
traore plays right winger for lyon. as a striker in final season carew scored twice in 13 games.

i'm not having all this judging a player based off of other fans' opinions bs. how many villa fans couldn't wait to get rid of players like veretout and ayew who have gone on to play really well elsewhere?
he gets a clean slate as far as i'm concerned.

i'm beginning to believe!

The cynic in me still can't help but think his agent is playing games here. We'll see, but i'm starting to believe. What bothers me is that there hasn't been a single mention of him over here.

Nice video. He likes a curler doesn’t he? I only wish we had that’s ships horn noise every time we scored, would be brilliant.
And 500 Miles by the Proclaimers playing after every goal.

What's the story of Nick Young photoshopped into a Villa shirt?
it was a meme from about 5 years ago and i can't be bothered changing it

Do you think Rashica will come to Villa?
I think he'd need convincing. He's always said he wanted to play in the Champions League, but money talks, so...
I don't know this for sure, but I have a feeling he put some teams off with his performances after the restart. Whether he was carrying an injury or his heart wasn't in it anymore, he didn't look up to it. But the talent is undeniable.

Same with me. Followed them since the Diego, Naldo and Mertesacker days. Hopefully they're not in too much financial trouble, as they are a great club. I think this salary waiver news all but confirms that Rashica will leave this transfer window. They'll push him if they have to. Just depends who he'll go to
03/04 season. Ailton, Klose, Borowski, Frings, Micoud. Unbelievable team.

Slightly OT, but I've followed Werder since the early 2000s. They're a great club. I've still got some of my old Miroslav Klose and Diego jerseys somewhere I think. I'm actually a lurker on Worum as well, so it's quite odd to see other Villa fans reading it

He isn't going to be injured forever is he? They aren't writing off a £20m investment after one season. Traore is comfortable in both positions. He even called himself a striker in his interview with VillaTV.
