ESPN should never have broadcast that to be honest.
i can see why the jets would be annoyed that it got aired, but surely ESPN are well within their rights to air it. this is the stuff i want to see more of when players are mic'd up, rather than the usual cacophony of "let's goooooo" and one play at a time"

i don't think mahomes isn't playing as well as last season. he's still playing great but not at the same level. i'd say wilson is outplaying him currently, but it's obviously still early.

Imagine how many points the Seahawks would score if they didn’t run it on 2/3 of their plays. Carson is obviously very good but you’ve literally got a generational talent at QB.
The call to not go for it on 4th & 1 at the end of the first half...deserved to lose on that alone. Hawks had murdered them all half offensively ffs. Where’s the bottle?
exactly. just let wilson sling it. best deep ball in the game.

And both are/were highly desirable.
You said teams DO NOT desire RB's and they can be replaced effectively by the next man up. Dallas wouldn't get to the playoffs with Pollard mate.
The last few drafts tell me that good RB's are extremely desirable. Whether they should get paid top dollar after their rookie contract is a different matter entirely.
I'd never pay a RB top dollar after his rookie deal ends personally as the average RB career is 5-6 years tops. I'd just keep drafting one early and trading away good ones at the end of their contract.
Zeke was banned and Alfred Morris was fine. Melvin Gordon holds out and UDFA Austin Ekeler blows up. Kareem Hunt gets banned and Damian Williams (!?) seamlessly replaced him. Spending an early pick on a running back isn't necessary.
Saquon was unbelievable last season and we were still awful because running the ball doesn't win you games.

had the toughest job on the team today and alderweireld pretty much dominated him all game. i'm sure he'll be fine though and there are easier days ahead.

One of those really bad Twitter ITK's that just steal info from others and barely ever get anything right. Bunch of a*seholes.
not true. it's just an account that aggregates all villa related news tweeted by other journalists. the account doesn't claim to know anything.

I doubt anyone's with me on this, but I'd put a bid in for Marko Marin.
Could be backup for Jack or start on the wing.
He's actually not a bad player, even these days, where he finds himself in Belgrade.
what year is this? can't believe he's still only 30.

All 3 of them are equally comfortable on the right, as Anwar showed us last season. It's not an issue as wingers tend to swap wings during games anyway.
i think el ghazi looked much better on the left though.

is he? whenever i've seen him play he's always been on the left.

I don't understand why we're still after Benrahma as rumours suggest. He would give us three left wingers (El Ghazi, Trezeguet, Benrahma) who's preferred method is cutting inside and shooting. Sign someone for the other side. Harry Wilson maybe?

All 3 like to cut inside
I know but Jota is left footed making more sense for him to play on the right.

Heaton
Guilbert - Engels - Mings - Targett
McGinn - Douglas Luiz - Grealish
Jota - Wesley - El Ghazi
im not really taking much stock from the pre-season performances against farmers league teams. as nice as jota has looked, i just think he's a better fit on that side than either anwar or trezeguet who prefer cutting inside.

I completely missed the mattia perin rumour. that would be really interesting, i remember he arrived in juve as buffon's heir but injuries seemed to derail him. failed a medical at benfica a few days ago but sounds like we're looking into it.

yep me too

Can't really complain at the £12m fee judging by how highly he seems to be rated by people who have seen him play. I don't claim to know much about him though, and I'd like to see another centre half come in who's a bit more experienced and proven.

And if you exchange your "I" for "Bournemouth", you perfectly illustrate the point he is making, simultaneously agree with it and are some way to understanding what has happened over the last few weeks.
of course every team wants to maximise their profit. it's just that for me there's too much risk paying that for him, but i do understand why we did. i just think we could have leveraged the fact he wanted to come here and stuck it out until the end of the window to force their hand on it a little bit more.
