At this point you have to go with him IMO.

Same with the Giants, Eli is clearly the better player and the better option to win, but Jones' game time is more valuable.

On the subject of benching. How many QBs have played half a season as bad as Mayfield and kept their starting job?

i mean... every eli season since 2014

Imagine how many points the Seahawks would score if they didn’t run it on 2/3 of their plays. Carson is obviously very good but you’ve literally got a generational talent at QB.

The call to not go for it on 4th & 1 at the end of the first half...deserved to lose on that alone. Hawks had murdered them all half offensively ffs. Where’s the bottle?

exactly. just let wilson sling it. best deep ball in the game.

    And both are/were highly desirable.

😀  You said teams DO NOT desire  RB's and they can be replaced effectively by the next man up.   Dallas wouldn't get to the playoffs with Pollard mate.

The last few drafts tell me that good RB's are extremely desirable.  Whether they should get paid top dollar after their rookie contract is a different matter entirely.

I'd never pay a RB top dollar after his rookie deal ends personally as the average RB career is 5-6 years tops.   I'd just keep drafting one early and trading away good ones at the end of their contract.

Zeke was banned and Alfred Morris was fine. Melvin Gordon holds out and UDFA Austin Ekeler blows up. Kareem Hunt gets banned and Damian Williams (!?) seamlessly replaced him. Spending an early pick on a running back isn't necessary.

Saquon was unbelievable last season and we were still awful because running the ball doesn't win you games.

One of those really bad Twitter ITK's that just steal info from others and barely ever get anything right. Bunch of a*seholes.

not true. it's just an account that aggregates all villa related news tweeted by other journalists. the account doesn't claim to know anything.

I doubt anyone's with me on this, but I'd put a bid in for Marko Marin.

Could be backup for Jack or start on the wing.

He's actually not a bad player, even these days, where he finds himself in Belgrade.

what year is this?  can't believe he's still only 30.

All 3 of them are equally comfortable on the right, as Anwar showed us last season. It's not an issue as wingers tend to swap wings during games anyway.

i think el ghazi looked much better on the left though.

    He's a right winger though?

is he? whenever i've seen him play he's always been on the left.

  7. Heaton

    Guilbert - Engels - Mings - Targett

McGinn - Douglas Luiz - Grealish

Jota - Wesley - El Ghazi

im not really taking much stock from the pre-season performances against farmers league teams. as nice as jota has looked, i just think he's a better fit on that side than either anwar or trezeguet who prefer cutting inside.

 And if you exchange your "I" for "Bournemouth", you perfectly illustrate the point he is making, simultaneously agree with it and are some way to understanding what has happened over the last few weeks.

of course every team wants to maximise their profit. it's just that for me there's too much risk paying that for him, but i do understand why we did. i just think we could have leveraged the fact he wanted to come here and stuck it out until the end of the window to force their hand on it a little bit more.
