can't say i'm impressed based on his performances so far.

This trade only really benefits the team losing Barkley (because he's a glass bum). Extremely high risk giving up all that for any RB, but especially one with Barkley's injury record.
If it was a team out of contention giving all that up, I'd be against it since it would clearly benefit a playoff team. Since it's the 2nd place team losing the bulk of their players, it changes the dynamic a bit.
I can see why people might be split on it though. Frankly, it's good to see trades taking place! It doesn't often happen and we have two on the go currently.
If it gets downvoted, it is what is. It’s not worth causing drama over. Agreed about the trades. It’s hard to let go of your players sometimes but I have no shot at winning without getting a good RB I don’t think, so I did what I had to in order to get one. Even if it was perhaps a bit over the odds.

Let me set my stall out for those who are no doubt about to press the downvote button. I knew no-one in playoff contention (like 90% if the league) was gonna accept a trade for a good RB considering how tight it is and the position I’m in. It would make no sense.
Originally I was just gonna offer Kittle and Evans, but knowing I’ve got Miles Sanders coming back who’ll get the bulk of Eagles carries I chucked in Hunt to get it over the line. I still have Jamarr Chase and Kadarius Toney at receiver, and I can stream TEs in Kittle’s absence.
Like @Brumerican says, there was no shady business, which to me is the only reason to vote down a trade. It works for both of us.

Exactly. But at this point I kind of need to. I trotted out Boston Scott, Zack Moss and Rhamondre Stevenson last week.
-
Evans is volatile week to week. Back end WR1/Top tier WR2 IMO . Kittle a top 3 TE and Hunt is an RB2 with upside who’s still on IR at the moment.
Pretty fair for a top 5 RB if he can stay healthy.

swung for the fences with that Barkley trade. needed to fix my rb situation somehow. probably gave up a bit too much but hopefully it pays off…

lmao how have i managed to scrap the win this week? rhamondre stevenson has GOAT status imo

I want to get excited for it, but I can’t shake that feeling that it’s a celebrity appointment. We’ll see.

i'm just making up the numbers at this point too. injuries have just absolutely decimated me and killed all enthusiasm

We sacked a fan favorite manager who hasn't let us down in 3 years at the first sign of a bad patch in form, when he hasn't even had his strongest first 11 available for him to utilize once this season. For his replacement, we went for a manager who has only managed a football team for as long as NSWE has owned Aston Villa. His experience is purely at a club where they spent more money than any other team in the league, and managed to beat their only competing club because they lost their manager and made a poor appointment with his replacement. Forget all the player history/Liverpool connections. I don't care about any of that. I think it's equivalent to promoting someone right out of grad school to being a C-Suite executive at a huge company, purely because he's famous for doing something else and friends with the CEO. Do I think Gerrard is an upgrade at all on Dean Smith? Absolutely not. I think Smith would walk the SPL with Rangers, if given the opportunity. Do I think this appointment is a massive mistake and will cost Purslow his job within the next two years? Yes, I do. I'll officially be changing my avatar once Gerrard is announced, because I think Purslow has lost the plot here.
Will I back Gerrard? Yes, just like every other Villa manager we've had, but I'm not happy at all. I sincerely hope I'm wrong and Gerrard ends up turning the team around and leading us into Europe, but I just can't see that happening at this time. Gutted.
I wouldn’t go as far as to say I’m gutted, but this pretty much sums up my thoughts as well. I don’t see how it can be argued that he’s an improvement on Smith.
I hope to be proven wrong.

Not a favour. But if there was no relationship he might scrape a shortlist, rather than seemingly being the shortlist.
I’m not that keen but I think that’s harsh. An invincible season at Rangers is a great achievement alongside their European run…

How long before the Gerrard out gang start up on here ?
Seemingly not that long after the "How long before the Gerrard out" gang start up themselves

gerrard doesn't scream ambition to me, it just stinks of purslow hiring his mate. miles better options out there.

I hope we get a black LGBT-woman as a new manager, we would be so woke.
what?

the lions bye week is their best result all season to be fair

i've gone from possibly the strongest lineup of skill players in the league to probably the worst in the space of one week...

good for the broncos. they aren't chasing rainbows under delusions of grandeur, unlike the giants.

i saw this coming a mile off and this is why i didn't really get our signings. they don't all fit into one single system. out best formation is 4-3-3/4-5-1. it's all too disjointed at the moment.
commit back to the 4-3-3 and build from there. the best teams have one system and stick with it for the most part. we've played three or four already this season.
