I love villa fans, when was finishing 6th 4 seasons in a row not good? what an arrogant statement
So finishing 6th should be the limit of our ambitions? Super...

Is Delph not out until close to christmas?
Yes he is.
£28m for milner is too good to turn down but I don't trust MON to spend the money wisely. We really need to kick on next season finishing 6th 4 seasons in a row would not be good. By my count we now need to buy a RB, two CM's and a Striker and that's just for the first team. Starting the season with 4 brand new players in your first XI with possibly another 2-3 squad players on the bench. Not sure MON has the transfer nous to make it work...

All this debate over Goal line technology when goal line incidents occur maybe once or twice a season. The real cancer in football is the refusal to use retrospective punishment for diving, cheating, faking injuries, dissent to referees etc. that has made the sport a laughing stock. The governing bodies are corrupt, inept are are ruining our sport instead of protecting it. Football is the sport with the least amount of sportsmanship on the planet, until we face up to that then this goal line technology debate is a tangent.

I expect Silva to be a flop.

Ireland's a better player than Ribery.
I wouldn't go that far but the ribery hype is over the top IMO. We need to get this milner deal sorted one way or the other by the end of next week. Either get him to sign a new deal or sell, not sure which one I prefer, probably the former.

This is obviously the correct Third kit so. That Red logo looks Poo and it looks like the tagline trade forex like a pro will be on the kit too.

Will be announced today
The new sponsor or the new sponsor and new kit?

Its the deliberate fuzziness of the photo that makes it look photoshopped. its as if the person has made the picture fuzzy as hell to cover up the photoshopping.

I'd take petrov out of that list of citeh rejects.

Now reported in the express and star
I wonder if they read villatalk...

Van Basten was a much better player then Dennis.

maybe it really does just come down to London is where the money is ?
I think its more that if you a London club your club sponsor can use the executive boxes to wine and dine their clients when they are in London on business. Not the same appeal for clients to go down to Aston to watch the villa.

He must have someone representing him !
He just doesn't turn up one day and do a deal for 50 thousand a week !!
The PFA provide a free service to all members for contract negotiations most players just choose to get an agent instead. The Neville sisters use the PFA service as well as milner.

Would anyone take Mascherano ?
Not me, he has the passing ability of Nigel Medi-ocre. Very over rated player IMO.
-
People ae very naive if they believe that players do not hold the biggest say in terms of whether they want to go or not.
This. If milner decides he wants to leave then he'll be sold full stop. Whether he wants to leave or not is up to him. I can't say I'd blame him if he did want to leave, he'd probably triple his wages at Citeh.
However, what this may be , is his agent flushing out other interested parties - ie: Man U and Chelsea. He doesn't have an agent.

Great to see Sir Randy not willing to devalue the brand by taking the best available offer (e.g. Cows, 32Red.com etc.). Having your brand name on the villa shirt should carry a minimum value, and given our recent performances in cup finals / 6th in the league I'd be surprised if we don't get a good deal with a big brand in time for next season.
-
cant see petrov being replaced
If he's not we will be in trouble. His legs have gone and he's not getting any younger, if he's anymore that a squad player next season then it won't bode well for the season.
-
If Spurs get through the qualifiers at all , I am 100 percent sure they'll never make it out of the group stage. Harry does not have the tactical nous for the CL, it is where the real BIG boys play.
The CL is NOT where the big boys play. The group stages of the competition are a farce with greek sides, cypriot sides,
Ukrainian sides etc. Spurs will be one of the top 8 teams in the CL next season. The only thing that could do them is that they might get a really tough draw as they'll be low seeds. They have nothing to fear in the CL, the standard is vastly overrated. Just look at the semi final between bayern and lyon this season, mediocre sides...

I'd like to see forest come up but it is very hard predict the winner of the Playoffs so I won't bother trying.
Cardiff.

No, overrated, big time. Reminds me of Berbatov at United. Attitude stinks, massive ego, and he's lazy.
This.

For me this has got to be 4-5-1 with Sidwell or Reo-Coker coming in.
Carew has looked a bit off lately, so he is the one to come out for me.
Considering how little we have played 4-5-1 this season I cant imagine MON will switch now.

I think this game will be a score draw and thus our slim chances of 4th will evapourate as I expect Spurs to beat Bolton at the lane. It'd be nice if we went into our last home game with 4th still up for grabs but I don't think this will happen.

I don't think it's MON worst crime though.Others rankle with me more than The Jackal at right back.
I think it is his worst crime TBH. It is astounding that he persists with The Jackal at RB when its clear he offers very little in that position. I hope that in the summer it comes out in the wash that the stories of a bust up are true because if MON is making the decision to play Carlos ahead of L.Young on a footballing basis then you have to seriously question his judgement.
SPECULATION : Milner to City/Utd/Chelsea/Spurs

This. Can't really see how our midfield is going to be better next season than it was last season TBH. Both petrov and Milner will have to be replaced (IMO) and are we really going to find two players to play in the centre of midfield that would make us better? I can't imagine Downing would be good in the centre given his tackling allergy.
