It is no wonder with shameful stats like the below the Tories want to try to deflect attention to this Rwanda bullshit.

Guess I should look back to when thatcher died and see everyone’s kind words though …
In fairness mate I am not really seeing the passing of a known evil, divisive bitch like Thatcher, who by her actions devastated/ruined the lives of millions of people, as a meaningful comparison as to the reaction to the death of someone who, from the many times I saw him on tele/listened to him speak, seemed to be a beacon for good.

Just setting out for VP and feeling confident. 3-1 Villa and another great night under the lights to stick in the memory bank.

Jenrick has resigned as immigration minister. Maybe the polices haven't gone far enough for that bastard.

This policy is absolutely abhorrent.

@GarethRDR massive well done mate. That is great going. I'm sure your work colleagues will definitely notice.

This caller to James O'Brien I think speaks for a lot of us (she does mention Starmer/Thatcher)

For pretty much all of us this is the most confident Villa side at home we will have ever seen. I think some of us are failing to grasp or down play just how good we are at home. We are exceptional. You have to be to win 13 home league games on the bounce in the toughest league in the world.
You add in that we are currently one of the best 4 teams in the country then I don't think we could go into this game in better shape.
Villa Park under the lights in big games has given me some really special memories. I'm confident Wednesday will produce another one.

So what about the jobs these 300,000 people were doing, who is going to do them?
In the sectors that are already struggling to recruit, such as the NHS and the care sector, then vacancies will just continue to rise.
I am sure those people who a policy like this is designed to appeal to though will be more than happy to continue to sit in A&E for 12 + hours or sit in their own piss and shit indefinitely rather than have someone with brown skin come to help them.

It was inevitable that Ollie was going to miss a league game eventually and I am sure Emery would have contemplated that over the summer when he made the decision not to bring in another centre forward. Emery must have seen enough in Duran to believe if need be he could come in and cover for Ollie.
Duran has been here almost a year now. He hasn't started a league game but has shown that he has a lot of ability and also has something about him character wise and seems to have a real desire to want to succeed. I'd imagine he'll be chomping at the bit if he does get to start today and whilst I'll be disappointed if Ollie is out I look forward to seeing what Duran can do.

If you can't be good be lucky and Southgate is certainly that. Another piss easy group.

We walked past a load of Warsaw fans by the Tesco and towards Witton Lane island on the way to the ground at about 7:30pm and in fairness they seemed fine. The biggest worry was a few tanked up young Villa fans giving it the big un trying to antagonise them. We then walked the long way round to the Holte avoiding Witton Lane.
In the first half saw a few bottles fly into the lower Holte from Trinity Road which was apparently Warsaw fans.
Disgusting what some of them have done but I am sure amongst them there would have been fans not wanting trouble and just there to enjoy the game and they have all lost out.
It made for a strange atmosphere in the ground having no away fans and knowing there was trouble outside.

Cameron will have his place but I’m putting him as a tier 2 scoundrel.
Cameron was a PM who got some important stuff wrong. Those that came later are clearly some kind of social experiment and have never looked like leaders at any point.
Cameron is right up there in fairness in terms of damage done to this country on his watch. The ideological austerity inflicted by him and Osborne is now really being felt with the NHS on its knees, multiple councils either bankrupt or about to go bankrupt, numerous Police forces (including the Met and West Mids Police) in special measures, prisons so full and understaffed that they are having to let criminals go free early...... Their policies also had the greatest negative impact on those already vulnerable who we are meant to help and resulted in the huge increases in poverty, including working poor and children living in poverty, and increases in homelessness.
Obviously, given her time in office, pro rata Truss wins hands down on damage done.

Not going to vote again as they were lied to. That is not true though is it. They chose to believe known bullshitters over those dealing in facts. The mistake they made wasn't voting, it was not voting for those telling them the truth.

Seeing people in the boozer or knocking about a Christmas market is not a great guide to determining if there is a cost of living crisis or not. Even those people you see we have zero clue what their financial situation is.
There is no doubt, just as there has always been, there will be the haves and the have nots and some people will be fine and others will be suffering.
What we do know is that, according to the governments own figures, 15 million people in this country live in poverty, over 4 million of which live in destitution (this has doubled in the last 5 years), 9 million people have over the last few months suffered food insecurity and 3 million adults have reported not having eaten for a whole day because they couldn't afford to. Overall over the last two years we have seen the largest drop in living standards since records began.
Let's not downplay the fact that millions of people are really, really suffering in this country just because we see some people out and about.

He looked a bit lost today and was rightly taken off at h/t. Overall though he is having a good season.

Like @trekka I was surprised he was 80 as had him down as maybe late 60's.
His teams played some nice stuff and that Euro 96 England team is probably the last England side I really enjoyed watching.
RIP.

Getting away from the my dads bigger than your dad bollocks then where it really matters whose better, on the pitch tomorrow, then I am very confident we'll have the edge.
I expect us to be unchanged from the Fulham game and if our starting 11 doesn't have too much for Spurs then we'll win the game off the bench using the likes of Bailey, Zaniolo and JJ.
We'll win by at least 2 goals.

I did think on first watching that she looked completely at ease with what he was doing.
It's a silly video and it's just a cheap laugh, but shows just how easily lies get spread via social media. It can't be bullshit,I saw it with my own eyes!
I think the saddest thing about it all is that we have a Prime Minister in a video appearing to show him being clueless as to how to use a hammer and it seemed believable. I suppose that is what comes from having form as someone so out of touch with reality that he doesn't know how to use chip and pin.

Can’t get anything right but they somehow manage to get a video pulled from twitter within minutes. I can’t help but feel their focussing on the wrong things.
I think it may have been removed as there is a longer video where the woman told him to use the hammer in that way.

I love how ignorant fools like Barton use the term woke as if it is a cuss on those he is describing when it is actually a compliment.
