  1. horrible question because i really can't stand any of them. would have to go spurs though because a) barry left us because he was "ambitious" ie. he wanted lots of money and i would love to finish above them, and liverpool really need to be shown their place. i probably like spurs the most of all three sides but i dislike them a lot. they deserve it more than city and liverpool though on recent form anyway.
  2. Where's Gabby going? lol also from that angle it looks like heskey had half a mind to sneak in and take it
  3. i voted that they shouldn't be allowed. they have an international keeper on their books, can't they just promote one of the youth team in as cover. if they had no keepers then maybe fair enough.
  4. cheers, i thought it was through the bullring but i wasn't sure. getting the coach gives me more time after the match.
  5. i am so excited and nervous for this already. not sure i can take the 4 days of waiting!
  6. please could somebody tell me if it is easy to walk from new street rail station to digbeth coach station?
  7. we need to test the keeper. will given definitely be out? is it a given? (sorry) massive game, can't believe it is a 3pm game still.
  8. what a brilliant win, not pretty and we were poor second half but I DONT CARE! friedel MOTM, kept us in it with some blinding saves. gabby was absolutely fantastic today. great composure from jimmy to score the pen after the bluenose words removed did their best to unsettle him by causing a massive delay in between the challenge and the actual spot kick. they should be embarassed of themselves. it WAS a penalty, stonewall in my opinion... no matter what andy gray says, gabby was totally taken out in a great position and the defender got the merest of flicks on the ball with his studs. so happy that we are still in it with two games to go, a superb effort. let's go to eastlands and piss all over man city's parade.
  9. wish i was going today. as it is i will be in a likely to be empty pub in sheffield. pretty nervous now but i think we will win.
  10. great win, satisfying to see us grinding wins out at the business end of the season, unlike last year. thought milner was outstanding yet again. gabby was good and took his goal brilliantly. the defence were rocks. also what a run by carew before the penalty!! monster. bring on SHA
  11. somebody at man city will have leaked this 'interest' in order to try and unsettle us at a time when it looks like we have a chance of catching them in the league, and in particular before we play them.
  12. i really don't understand many of these negative comments! it was a tough game against determined opponents. james was outstanding and if it wasn't for him we would've had three or four more. stonewall penalties for gabby and petrov not given. i voted downing MOTM, nobody really stood out but i thought it was a solid team performance and i thought he was a lot better than in recent games... took on his man a lot more. great finish from JC for the goal and i am very happy for the finz to get his first prem goal. i thought it was going to be one of those days at one all but hesk and delf linked up well to finish it off for us. massive three points. lets beat hull and pile some pressure on city and spurs.
  13. good point in the circumstances, great spirit to get back in it after going behind again. thought it was quite an even game. milner MOTM for me, he never stops running, puts in such a shift every match. the free kick for their first goal was right in front of me, never a foul. what is it with us and shit decisions lately? thought petrov was good today. also everton were horrible, time wasting from as soon as they scored in the first half. great save from howard though from cuellars header. JC shouldve scored his chance at the near post. all in all its a good point against a good side, i just fear that it isnt enough and we now need a miracle to catch citeh. i think it has gone.
  14. yes at the match i saw the terry foul but it didnt look anywhere near as bad as from seeing the replays and i thought he was blowing his whistle to send deco off for the foul on i think petrov.
  15. massive game. really can't predict an outcome at this stage.
  16. just got back from london. brilliant atmosphere in the villa end yesterday, well done to every fan. in particular that burst of 'my old man' about five minutes before their first goal was electrifying. comments on the game: we played well and were the better team i think for much of the first half and the first part of the second. friedel did all he had to and wasn't at fault for any of the goals cuellar was great defensively except for malouda's goal warnock had a great game dunne was superb except for the mistake which sadly led to the game's turning point collins was fine all afternoon downing did alright but i thought he was the weak link in the midfield yesterday milner MOTM for me, tireless running. also very lucky to not have a broken leg. petrov was good again, tired towards the end but he normally does young was good but his final ball was lacking yesterday gabby should have had a penalty and looked reasonably threatening throughout without having many chances carew held play up well and wouldve scored if (it pains me to say this) terry hadnt got a brilliant flick away as the cross came in i don't like to sound like a bad loser but who knows what would have happened if we had been given that penalty which everyone in the villa end could see was stonewall from 100 yards away without replays. and terry should have been sent off for that cynical disgusting foul on milner. all in all we were beaten by the team with more quality but the scoreline was totally undeserved.
  17. i am looking forward to this a lot, it will be my first trip to the new wembley. i had the misfortune of going to the bolton semi final in 2000 which was perhaps the dullest game of all time (in a close run race with the final that year). think we can nick this 2-1.
  18. Have you been living under a rock since christmas? Correct, just outside of Padstow, how do you know? If your talking about his affair, honestly couldn't give a toss, thats his business, if thats what your on about you must be at odds with half the country. also this
  19. just got back from bolton, great win today exactly what we needed. bolton didn't really threaten but we did the job, which on the back of the last seven days was always going to be difficult. brilliant support too, total opposite from bolton's fans who didn't sing all afternoon. the defence was very good today, dunne and collins were very solid. warnock was improved from the last few weeks and cuellar looked much better at RB. young MOTM for me, overhit too many corners but apart from that he worked tirelessly and obviously scored a great goal. petrov was great today, didn't seem to tire like normal. delph looked very good and did what he needed to do. downing was a little lightweight but he at least looked more hungry than in recent weeks. carew and gabby held the ball up well but neither really looked like scoring. gabby HAS to work on his one-on-ones. brilliant result at sunderland too, shame burnley had to roll over and die. still, back in this race!!
  20. I've gone 3-1 to villa on my super6, hopefully not overly optimistic! I think kevin davies will score for them, he is a nuisance player.
  21. yeah you will have to get the tube out to wembley park. however, it only takes about 15/20 minutes on the metropolitan line from euston, and not much longer from kings cross.
