We should attack down the right more, Spector is poor in my opinion and should struggle against our wingers. I also agree that we need Luke Young on for more attacking threat. The way we play now is very predictable, and we need a new striker for some more creativity upfront. Come on Villa!!!!

This matchthread make me think about how much we have progressed in recent years. We may not expect to win at the Emirates (although some here optimisticly say so), but we certainly feel that we have the team to compete, and no-one will be surprised if we indeed win this match. Some years ago the Arsenal fans wouldn't even fear us, and us as fans and players wouldn't look forward to this at all. It would just be a match we hope for some effort from the players so we wouldn't be embarrassed by the result. We may lose both to Arsenal and Liverpool, but I certainly look forward to those matches now! I'm excited like a child, and it feels great!

Great result and performance. MON will have a luxury problem when Petrov is back again. Excellent to see NRC and L. Young play again. Should be their places to loose now. Ashley Young playing better now as well, and big credit to Warnock getting forward so the defenders cant double up on Young all the time. Delfouneso clearly has big potenital and showed some great touches on the ball (as did Delph), although too eager to make an impression and not passing when he should have! Great to see the up and coming talents! The spirit today was great after the midweek result. Bolton were poor, and we capitalised on that. Perfect match to get the confidence back again for the players and the fans. Now for the continuity.

Anyone seen much of Hines? Every time I've seen him play for West Ham he has really impressed me. He is the sort of player who I fear can make things difficult for Collins and Dunne.

General, about 80 people from the Norwegian supporter club will be coming to Birmingham next weekend for the Newcastle match, and on Friday we will have dinner etc at Copthorne Hotel. We have been told that some guests will be there and Gary Shaw is one of them. Do you know who the other guests will be, and is one of them yourself? Would be great to thank you in person for all the great work you are doing for our club!

General, I am not sure if this has been mentioned before in this thread, but someone told me that the official fan sites of teams like Chelsea and Manchester Utd also have a Chinese version of it. Which, of course, makes it easier to capture the big market of football fans there. Aston Villa have probably thought of this a long time ago, and have plans for this as well, but I just thought I'd mention it. Keep up the good work! Loving every minute of beeing a Villa fan now!!

General, This is my first post in your thread, and I want to thank you and the rest of the board for everything you are doing for the club and the fans. Your posts are so inspiring and motivating even in those times after a Villa loss. Can’t believe the turn of fortunes, and sometimes it â€almost†bring tears of happines to read your great posts which brings hope for the future. The things you did for the visitors from Trondheim (my home city) is one of many great examples. I’m so relieved to have competent people at the club we all love.
