It's to be expected that write ups of our performances by die hard Villa fans who watch every minute and that are written for the benefit of other Villa fans who watch every minute end up being a bit more insightful than a minute or two to sum up a game based on a small highlights segment for an audience that rarely watch us.
It's why I just never bother with punditry, at best it's cliff-notes for the ill-informed. You're never going to get any meaningful; analysis in the "so Alan..." 2 minute chat.
I agree, but you'd expect even some analysis of the game.
Motd last night was a comment about our injuries, followed by shay given saying villa fans will be pleased by the win.
These are 'professional' pundits, paid to make insightful commentary on what they watch
-
In general, the analysis of our games and performances on here (from the majority) is far and away more insightful than any professional outlet

The performances didn't match our points return. We've been playing pretty good in the main. It's not grudges, it's disagreement.
I'll wait a week and tgen come back and reply properly, i've marked it in my diary

Honestly, look in the background at the crowd when Spuds are on telly. The amount of South Koreans (my assumption) is unreal.
Best thing we could do to boost our revenue is buy an Asian superstar

£71 a game?! That's madness
Interesting to see a proper breakdown of it, if it's day trippers buying merch, if it's the prices being sky high or if they've created a space that fans want to be in and spend longer there
To me the lower grounds should have been that, VP has the problem that way too many fans want to get there at 2.59pm and walk out the second the final whistle goes (I'm guilty as charged) if we were at home today with a 3pm kick off where are villa fans watching the early and late kick off? It's not at VP, whereas I think spurs have done that
A lot of these "fans" will be daytripper tourists, on a short holiday, buying replica shirts of their international players, especially so at the sky 6.

Oozes class. Praying he stays fit for the remainder. Grateful he plays for us

That team would scare me, although appreciate we may have no choice but to go with it.
I like the idea of the Bailey Diaby duo... about time they got a chance to swap wings and run riot. But that defence majorly concerns me.
Me too!

If Torres doesn't start, which I don't believe he will, we simply cannot play the same high line tactics, it would be suicide.
Our full backs will have to be far more defensive and i'd play a 4-5-1

Cash. Chambers. Lenglet. Moreno
Bailey. Mcginn. Luiz Ramsey. Diaby

He probably understands that we haven't discovered time travel or fortune telling yet though.
You don't need to. We have been dropping points, allowing teams below us to close the gap. If that trajectory continues, teams will overtake us.
According to VT, thats impossible because we were brilliant two months ago.
Throw in extra injuries also as fact, but facts probably just means i'm wetting the bed

Pongo doesn't understand that if one team keeps dropping points and another keeps winnning, that team can overtake the other

Seen these sarcastic remarks in two threads now.
It's a universally-used word to describe something that Villa fans are absolutely world class experts in. Hardly shocking that it gets used on these forums when some our fans are so quick to point fingers at their own players, and have been for decades.
Or its just a comment how if anyone dares to criticise the performance of one of our players, they instantly become a scapegoat.

If we told everyone in here that start of the season that we would be 1 point off 4th, 5 points off Man United with 14 PL games to ago they would of bitten your hand off.
Or, if you told everyone that we'd be second at the end of december, 13 points clear of united, needing to beqt sheff utd at home to go top, but fast forward two months later, after dropping points to sheff utd, man u after being 2-0 up, everton, newcastle and then united at home, to end up 5th and just 5 points ahead of united, people would probably be higely concerned about the monumental drop off

Maybe as to not rush him back and get injured again?
Not doing that with Digne though

Why arent we being told whats goin on with him. Inconceivable to me that he isnt playing if he's fit enough for the bench. Especially as digne got on today

Play like we did today and we beat all of those three teams.
You are taking the piss. Play like we did today and we'll spurn 7 or 8 glorious chances and gift the opposition two goals

Much much better tonight

Thought he was better today, but overall he's not good enough for that role.

The latest scapegoat for the fans. Played well today, some of our fan base aren't happy unless there's something to moan about. It's the Birmingham way.
Ding ding ding ding ding!!!

Weak as piss.
Needs to have a season to get used to the league but waste of minutes right now
