It's a mystery Con hasn't picked up on Bannan's long-passing ability. With enough time and space, he has the ability to spot and execute beautiful long passes to the forwards to get them in dangerous one-on-one situations. Remember his 40 yard cross-field diagonal for Marc Albrighton's goal against Fulham? And I remember under Houllier in the game against Man U where we went 2-0 up and drew 2-2, he played some cracking long passes then. 

But that was because the opposition hadn't sussed him out yet, and hadn't realised how easy it was to throw him off his game. Just increase the pace of the game, harry him a little and viola, no time, no space to make his pass. 

Westwood I think has the ability to make those same passes, but he doesn't need the luxury of time and space. 

Bannan needs, and I think he's just a good player playing in a league not suited to his sensibilities. I'd think he'd do well in Italy or Spain.

Weimann really should have gone in diving header and buried that cross at 1-0 up. But then he doesn't score many with his head. I only remember one header that he's scored in the cups. 

Seriously. Drop him for the next 2 games. Lichaj did well today coming on for Lowton. He won't be as much of a liability as Bennett. Let him play LB. We're still not out of it, and the ease by which players brush past Bennett is harrowing at times. 

There's a good player in there. He just needs to bulk up a bit. 

Fulham's been sucked into it now. They've been on a horrible run of form and have Liverpool next, who incidentally are in form. Coutinho and Sturridge have been playing really well.

It's the style of defending Lambert wants us to play, he wants the back 4 to press high up the pitch and try to keep the ball in the attacking half. When we are attacking our back line pushes high up the pitch, and instead of playing it safe by standing off players, Lambert asks the back 4 to play tight to their man and try to win interceptions first and foremost. 

The problem is our back 4 if they miss their interceptions, end up getting burned for pace, because none of them are particularly fast, so that's a problem. This was how we conceded the 3rd goal against Man U. It was 2 v 4, Giggs and Rvp against our entire back 4, but both Lowton and Vlaar committed to trying to intercept the ball from Giggs, and he just got past both of them. 

If Lambert wants to play the Arsenal style high pressing backline he's got to get faster and better defenders.

Am i the only one who felt sorry for jamie Lannister i know the guy is a prick but he could have easily let bryenne get raped but he opened his mouth and got punished also WTF was up with the ending music? it was just wrong

It's something I've noticed HBO shows have a tendency of doing. Cliffhanger ending followed by smash cut to black with a cheesy punk rock-ish cover of an otherwise non-punk rockish song. They've done it for episodes of True Blood, Entourage and now GoT

 

Spartacus Finale

 

So good i'm going to watch it again... I CRIED

Love Spartacus, it's the pulpy low-budget cousin of Game of Thrones. Equally compelling shades-of-grey characters. Generous killing off of fan-favorite characters, and it's just great at wringing emotion out of the viewer. I

I think it's just as good as GoT,if not better than it, especially in the action/fight scenes. 

Shame not many people give it the credit it deserves.
