Heskey really isn't doing enough on an attacking front.

I think we need more guile in midfield. Stoke is playing with a lot of men behind the ball. If we are still level by the 70th minute, I think bringing on Makoun for Petrov/Reo-Coker might be smart.

Wow really? Big bang theory, Community are brilliant.. I also used to watch two and a half men before it was cancelled.

I find that both those shows have 1 dimensional characters and tend to just repeat the same joke over and over again. I can understand why people like Big Bang but I just think that geek culture could be done in a more entertaining way.

I think he's a bit of a luxury player to have in CM.

He's similar to Scholes in that he can play a brilliant pass at times, but can't tackle worth a darn. But even Scholes, for all his superior attacking qualities, I wouldn't trust to be in a 2-man cm for a relegation scrap. The next 4 teams are our most realistic chance to pick up points and all those teams are our direct relegation rivals. I wouldn't want to depend on our last two fixtures against Pool and Arse to pick up enough points to be mathematically safe.

So, no, I don't trust Makoun in CM and would rather see NRC and Petrov in there.

No, the weirdest thing was fish intestines. (Although I have eaten live octopus here before).

I haven't actually tried dog and it is pretty hard to get hold of. I'm not entirely sure if it's completley legal anymore.

Next step - make your own tomato sauce, that will improve it 100% - really.

Slash a decent glug of olive oil in a pan, put on the heat. Chop up an onion, pretty finely, and start to fry it. Add a couple of cloves of garlic, crushed. Clice up a chilli, just the one, and add that. Just looking to booste the tomato taste, not add "heat". Before the onion starts to brown, add a carton of creamed tomato (rather than chopped - sometimes also called "passata".

Warm through, and just mill in a bit of black pepper, and tear off a couple of bits of basil from a plant (theyre £2 from sainsburys and are reuseable if you keep watering them).

Once its warmed through, coat the doughy base. Much better than that puree - which is too strong, and not flavoured enough. And its seriously foolproof.

Sounds good, will substitute the tomato puree in my pasta sauces with that.

I realise right now, the way we attack under Houllier is a slower more possession-based variant of MON's let's try and get it out wide and try and do something with the ball there model. Bent and young as the front two are ineffectual as ****.
