Yeah, I think Emile gets some unfair criticism, when a lot of it is just down to the fact he just doesnt suit our style of play

We did sort of save his career as he was going nowhere at Newcastle and we made him the star of our team and an England international I dont think you can say we saved a players career when we spent 12million on him at the age of 22?? Theres no 2 ways about it BOF, Emile Heskey is a top notch footballer. I think he could have been a really good signing when O'Neil took over, but now he doesnt quite fit with our play it seems. We will get money for Heskey easily.

Thats a fair point. The post that started this indicated that MON wasnt capable of replacing our best players. What I suppose I wasnt clear on is that he seems to have managed through both signing new players and developing existing players. I think MON gets unfair stick, but for me he deserves enormous credit. We aswell as James Milner in all honesty, probably never dreamnt of villa/him being linked with a 30million pound sale. Martin O'Neill has brought that to Villa
