  1. Randy has a proven record of ownership in an football club. It isnt soccer but the type of business is similar and he should know enough to make our club successful again. The other consortiums seems more like a risk than Randy and that is why I give my vote to Randy. We dont know anything about Neville tbh...nothing about Athole...or AV06. What is their experience? What is their skill? What do they have to show as reference?
  2. Reports today seems to be about the consortiums soon getting tired of the slow progress concerning decision on the take over issue. It is said that there is anger out because of the way things are being handled and I really hope that the stupid old man doesnt blow this golden opportunity for Villa! It is beyond...far beyond...how a situation like this should be handled. A few consortiums hasnt even been talking to Ellis...after two weeks of putting themselves in a bidding situation. It is outrageous that AVFC havent been in touch with every consortium to hear what they have to offer. It is quite disgraceful and I´m again embarrased by the running of the club. It angers me to the top and everything is Doug Ellis fault! He cant do a thing right nowadays and people that are close to him must be so scared to talk that they hide and run if they were told to critisize their leader. This tells me that the hierarchy at VP is no other than dictation...Ellis is the dictator and he does what he wants with the club...and dont we know it! Please...for god sake...dont blow this Ellis!!!
  3. I just think that this whole saga is very close to be embarrasing and it can all end in a big laugh around the world of how pathetic organization Villa have... I think that this is the biggest problem and it is quite logic when everything has had to go through one man constantly...even if its just about paying a cup of coffee!! Get the old man out NOW and please please start a new era at Villa where we all can be proud over our club! Lerner is probably the best choice...but is he still in it? I doubt it really. Neville is too weak and therefore has he seek to merge with AV06 that is stronger...but still a way off Lerner. Still might be the dark horse here... TBH...it is the usual Villa mess...signed by Ellis!! I bet that we soon after the take over will see a book about it all...with Ellis bragging about how he played everyone around like small puppets and that he is the master of all business. I just wish that someone can come in and make this old dictator look like a piece of shite...from a fly! The man isnt bigger than that...he is totally incapable of anything..else than jerking himself off everywhere. I really hate this man...Mr Aston Villa...bah!!
  4. Why does Padfield say that they havent had any contact with the club and that the club havent told them anything about what is on the table? In an interview on Sky he state that he still havent talked to Ellis and hear about... Hasnt this been made clear or what are they doing at VP?!?!? Does this stupid old man play an dangerous game with our club and with the company that is on its way to get sold? I find it very very strange that this kind of behaviour is allowed in a situation like this...I´m very critical about how Villa has approached interested parties and how long this take over saga has been going on. Something smells bad here!!!
  5. or maybe even Vinceros or what his name was again...the Venezuelan.
  6. Lets just prey and hope that someone have the money and the charisma to overwin Ellis and finally make a take over true... It is taking a little bit too long before a winner is announced. I dont like it now because there is a possibility that it all will backfire. I think that quite a few consortium now wants answer on when there is a stop in showing interest and when it is due to decide on which bid to take. If Ellis makes this to a auction of embarresment there might be a few angry faces turning us down once and for all.
  7. Yes...it is really sad to see that everything Ellis is involved with nowadays is going enormously slow. You can see that he is an old man...in many ways.
  8. Yup I posted it as a single thread...or topic...by itself because it was about Lerner and MON...not about the take over in general. I would suggest that moderator should close this big topic and start "Take Over thread Part two" instead. ;-)
  9. It says on Sky Sports that Randy Lerner seems to be in pole position for the take over saga at VP. It is mentioned in the same article as they suggest that MON is primed for Aston Villa... Read it here
  10. Premature.......but NOT wrong! They aren't denying this link with MON though are they? It says "extremely premature"...and they havent denied any link...not even Warnock, Platt, Wilkinson, Eriksson or whoever you might speculate on. Dont jump on things that arent there to jump on... Of course it isnt wrong that they´re soon to sign up a new manager...remember that we dont have any manager. It is perfectly logical that the club will announce the capture of a new manager...whoever it might be. Extremely premature...premature....whats the difference??? My point was that Villa AREN'T denying the reported links with MON which have been repotyed today, or any other manager in fact, which leads to even more speculation that it will be MON. Everyone knows that a statement from Villa can come out one days denying they are goinbg to 'unveil a new manager' then 48 hours later they do exactly what they denyed. If they really didnt have any intentions of appointing a manager till the TO issue has been sorted then surely they would have said that in a statement rather than saying its 'extremely premature' Of course Ellis going to put in a manager...he´s that stupid and he´s that kind of man that puts things in the wheels for other people. If he hires MON there might be angry faces on the buyers of the club because it is a position they would like to negotiate about themselves. Even if they choose MON they will not be able to change anything with the contract MON has been given by Ellis. I dont know if Ellis can sign someone up in this situation where the company is on its way to change owner...or not.

  12. It depends on the report you believe I suppose. There was one yesterday saying all four bids were united behind MON. It may be true, may not be. I think with the timescales involved though having some kind of acceptable interim solution agreed on is a good idea- we need a manager in asap. I would agree with the opinion though, that if Doug thinks he can hire O'Neil then back out of the takeover stuff he'll be in for a shock. What does Aitken do that is so wrong? I think it is very overrated that Villa need to bring in MON. So you'd rasther Aitkenm stay in charge than MON come in? Until any take over is done and dusted...yes! I dont want the old board with Ellis and his kneedogs to put a new manager in that might disturb bidders on Villa...or disturb Ellis willingness to sell. If MON comes in he will do very good...I´m convinced...and it would itch in Ellis fingers to pull the trigger and stop all take over talks. Ellis is the worst idiot so I wouldnt be surprised if he´s trying to win points from fans on this...and he´s stupid enough to think that he can bring either a player or a new manager in and then sit back and be king of the hill again. It has been done before and fans have bought it...

  14. Ellis has a duty to safeguard the financial wellbeing of Aston Villa. If he waits for a new board to be in in place it could be too late to avert a potentially disastrous season. Even if he appoints MON today it is still cutting things fine. The media induced euphoria about potential bidders shouldn't make us forget how badly the same players performed under Dol and Aitken last season. To do nothing would be a dereliction of corporate duty, and remember MON is happiest with a one year rolling contract so it would be easy to sort amicably if the new owners wanted to appoint their own man. So...just tell me why Ellis dont sit down and negotiate with a new owner and get any deal done right now? I think that it isnt good for AVFC that Ellis chooses to appoint his own manager...no matter who...before any deal is done with the parties interested in buying Villa. He is stalling every deal...FACT!
  15. How do you know it comes from Neville?
  16. I dont want the take over to go through anymore...not with the Comer Brothers anyway. They´ve had six months or so on their hands to make a deal. It´s just another farce surrounding Villa and I´m getting more and more ashamed by how the club is runned. Ellis stated that he last saw the Comer Brothers in september...well...now it is soon may...anyone else believe that it will go through? It seems very very strange to me and I dont think that Aston Villa will benefit from owners like the Comer brothers really. This is not how good business is done! I want Ellis to sell...today! BUT to someone that can provide cash and make Villa a success that the club should´ve been ten years ago! Cash is not only the solution to success...a new board is together with some cash for investment in the squad. However...I do believe that the board issue is far more important than money today at Villa...and that doesnt say little about the situation at VP!!!
  17. This is such a parody on Aston Villa FC. I think that many players do know that the club is a very poorly runned company and in the summer we´ll see a few good names leaving... Why is it so quite at Villa home games? No protest...no booing? I cant believe what is happening with AVFC...and it has gone on a few years now! Protest and make your anger heard at the next game home!
  18. This is now beyond any reasons and any business...it is a new farce signed Aston Villa FC! No deal yet...nothing at all! How come that Villa are incapable of everything when it comes to business? Surely it would be a que to buy Villa...but why arent anyone interested? There must be something else that stops interested parties to take over... I guess that AVFC arent no where near as healthy as Ellis has been bragging about.
  19. As time now has gone ridicolous long...I dont want the Comers to buy Villa. It cant be good to sell to a company that cant make big deals in a fast and modern way. Ok that Ellis might have holding the brakes for some time...but still...it is far too fragile ownership when they cant prove a longterm spending strategy. This deal should´ve been done for a month or two...now its just sad and really a new Villa shame.
  20. If there ever was a good time for Villa fans to demonstrate against Ellis it would be now... * We are in a bad situation whereas a takeover seems to look as an usual Ellis-disaster. * We probably have too good players in our squad comparing to the clubs ambition and financial situation. That means if Ellis dumps the takeover plans and stays...we´ll face a walk out never seen at Villa Park. This will start a spin of bad things around the club and we will be in a very dangerous situation where I really can see relegation ahead! * If Ellis sets this bad things in power it will take long time before Villa will get back in Premier...the club will be in chaos for maybe five years. Ellis has to leave....or the club will die. This is the tragic story of everything that is managed by a dictator. Ellis is a dictator at Villa Park and he is guiding Aston Villa FC into poverty and disaster. There is no other way than to make every effort as an Villa supporter to see Ellis walk out of Villa Park once and for all. I would love to see a demonstration, a peaceful one, that makes Ellis up against the wall where he has no other option than to sell or to leave his place as the Chairman and major shareholder. Villa wont survive as it is now and everyone knows it...even Comers!
  21. Any business man can see that Villa easily can increase revenue. I dont think that is a stumbling block because...to be perfectly honest...the board with Ellis as a dictator has failed big time. It wouldnt take a smart ass to figure out how to make Villa raise money like shit if keep the same squad. The squad isnt expensive for Premier...the club has very big potential out on the market. It would be easy business for a true businessman or woman to turn this around after just three months. That is my belief... If we´re looking about Villas value as of today it isnt anywhere near £64m....but if buyers consider the potential at Villa Park than the value would easily be £100m. I dont have any doubts at all about this....but it means that Villa needs to clean house and start with a professional board and professionals throughout the club. If Rothschild are anything as good as people here say or believe than they would find a good buyer soon for our beloved Villa. There is no doubt at all that Villa is one of the best buys in Europe... It is a big club with great fans...it is a big club with a good history and with trophies as late back as mid -90´s. Aston Villa is also a very good name so there would not be a problem to do marketing for the club in order to get sponsors (the club has really made shit business in this aspect too).
  22. No...I´m sad to say, but I think that he spends his money sometimes awkward and wrongly. Aston Villa doesnt have the right balance in the team and that is mostly DOL´s dealings...
  23. I think that Ellis has lost the control he once had... The announcement, and the way it is said, make you feel that someone has stepped up and said "Enough is enough". I think Doug Ellis still is very much in his last days at Villa Park. Any shareholder should wonder what´s up with the club when the bad news seems to come more and more. The shareholders should be nervous, because the longer time this drag on...the less money will they get in a take over. The "Comer-saga" has already damaged the value...and the last episode when we cant even afford loanies makes anyone who knows anything about english football and history to raise their eyebrows in shock. I am very shocked that Villa has such a poor financial state that this suggests... Villa need a take over bid soon....
  24. I´m very happy with the announcement! It shows that Villa are going to be sold to a buyer that puts up the money...simple as that. The club have now invited others to buy the club and that should put som heat on the Comer Homes Group. I think that this will trigger other consortiums or companys to maybe make an offer that will hold.
