I'm just scared that after a few back to back loses this season (which will happen) people will start to jump on his back again. Why are Villa fans so impatient? It's going to take years to get back to 3 top 6 finishes again.

Bent can still harm us even if he's not playing against us though. Is there any point in this deal unless we get another player in this window?
It can also strengthen us, as it will be easier for them to beat the teams lower down the table - Hopefully we wont be close to relegation this year but can't be too sure.

The thing with Benteke is that he rarely blasts the ball. If you look at most of his goals, he carefully places/bends the ball past the keeper. He must see things in slow motion, he's that deft.
No he doesn't. He'll place the ball and blast it (against the Baggies for one) when needed. It's called finishing.

Seriously though, try Bacuna on the right wing in the 433 holding formation. Use Sylla, Delph and Tonev/Gardner as the mid three.

It was really before my time but I believe the old Holte end was a safe terrace. It had clear gangways after the crush barriers and was well maintained. Of the terrible football disasters that have occured in post war British football perhaps you could only say Burnden Park was directly due to the terrace collapsing. Ibrox was a stairwell collapse, Bradford due to a wooden stand and Hillsborough due to poor crowd management and fencing. Sorry to be a bit morbid.

McGrath?Like Drogba he has enough of everything to be classed unplayable, one dimensional players can be stopped more often than not but Tekkers has everything, pace, height, strength and power, a deft touch, good ball control and an eye for the unpredictable, accurate shooting with power and a (so far) decent enough work ethic.
I said it when it looked like we were losing him and I'll say it now he's staying but for me, pound for pound (so far) the best football player I've seen in a Villa shirt and I'm 30 years old (for the record and to give the statement some sort of gravitas).
He did win Player of the year with dodgy knees and all.

You honestly believe that he's only employed as a footballer because he's taller than the average male?
I didn't say that. What I did say was that without his height and strength (which he uses very well) then he likely wouldn't even be playing in the PL.
Ok fair enough but I think Carroll gets a lot of hate for no particular reason. I think he has a lot of talent myself.

I have a question. Now that Benteke is staying, will he miss the Arsenal game because of the Chelsea red card? Actually now that I think about it, he should be ok cause it was two yellows.
