all depends on what areas BR thought celtic needed bolstering ,he fancied JM to add to their midfield, it makes no difference ,if another prem club wants him..my view is villa can not provide the same platform at this moment as lesser clubs in the top flight, with payments dropping & ffp gripping, ..

you cast your mind back to the summer..villa were going into admin..

the terry gamble 2-3m a year etc, play off etc, villa were on tv lots as jt was playing,

the club is loosing a huge amount daily, then at end of season the tv money is offset against the losses,its how it works, then as in the summer villa were near selling jack to make up the short fall,you are allowed to run at a loss v revenue in a % to avoid ffp 10m fine & points loss.

spurs & leavy know villa were broke & wanted jack cheap,its possible the owners can not help in the way of last year as rules allow investment etc, assets sell ,its a bad cycle,villa need to get in top flight its that simple, 

the cost of relegation is still gripping,

Jedinak whelan richards adomah. Them alone is close to 200k a week. That's a huge saving for the club. If as well hogan does well at Sheffield united we can flog him off that be massive. 

Obviously we will sell grealish I think someone will bid 25_30m for him and we will sell. But I don't think it will be as bad as some think. We have shown we can score goals at this level without him. 

 

correct ,some big earners are off the books, but they are not off the book yet, hence the losses , the tv money goes down, wait till the season is over & see what the figures are like.

wages are the problem, theirs players (average) who are on 40k a week on 4year contracts , no other clubs in championship can pay this so they are not sell able ,thats why they are loaned out, you would be shocked on how much villa are paying on wages & if you think tammy did not not go to wolves..it was not down to football reasons,his agent wanted him out of villa,but he stayed, sending the everton player back released a lot of wage, you know where some of this extra money went..

players & agents see villa as the cash cow of the championship but the players soon become villa players to easy & find they dont have to give 100% ,its a culture ,how it can be stopped i dont know,look at utd under their new manager v old manager,

if smith can not get a tune from these instruments the owners will not be dancing .
