  1. General Krulak here:

    1. Incident at game: I do not think that the Club is "not supporting" the fans. At the end of the day, the first thing that needs to be done is to find out exactly what happened. That is what the Club is trying to accomplish. They are NOT just looking at fan behaviour. I can tell you that Randy and the Directors want the reputation of Aston Villa Football Club to be a sterling one...and that includes the fans. We want everyone to recognize us as a top flight football club across the spectrum. Away fans should be able to come to Villa Park and leave, win or lose, with a positive experience. We all need to realize that the actions of a very small minority can cause problems for the majority. Reacting or over-reacting is never a good thing. As we see on the Pitch, the "reaction" is what normally gets penalized.

then you can add this to your investigation and hopefully, the subsequent complaint to the fa/police about that hypocrite redknapps incitement of the crowd...

  2. David Gold insists Birmingham City are not in 'crisis', and is unhappy with the recent comments to come out of the Carson Yeung camp.

Birmingham have given Yeung a 20th December deadline to complete a takeover of the Premier League club, who saw manager Steve Bruce leave for Wigan Athletic last week.

But Yeung's spokesman Sammy Yu intimated over the weekend that the problem in finalising the deal lay with the current Blues board and that the Hong Kong businessman still wanted to buy the club.

Blues chairman Gold has taken umbrage at the comments and now fears it is less likely that the takeover will go through.

"Although we have to be careful, because it was one of Mr Yeung's aides speaking, I am saying that Sammy Yu's comments were inappropriate and very upsetting," he said.

"Myself, David Sullivan and Karren Brady (managing director) have worked very hard under extreme difficulties to deal with the problems that are coming up.

"You've got to remember we are putting Birmingham City before everything else and working on the basis that we are here for the foreseeable future.

"People say we are in crisis. We are not in crisis. We are in change.

"We will have to wait and see what emerges over the next few weeks. We have given our word. There will be no extension to that deadline to Mr Yeung.

"I believe the chances (of the takeover) are diminishing. If they can't fulfil their promises, we will go back to the way it was before."

    they started it..."

  3. THE image rights contractual dispute between Blues and Steve Bruce was today resolved as Blues suffered another big name rejection.

A compromise was thrashed out over the £225,000 that Blues claim Bruce owes them.

As for Blues search to replace him, Alex McLeish and Eric Black remain strong contenders, although the Blues board are continuing to cast their net widely.

Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari was lined up for talks, but his advisors then informed a go-between acting for the club not to arrange a meeting in the wake of Steve McClaren's sacking by England.

The controversial Brazilian World Cup winner of 2002, Blues have been told, is in the frame again for the Three Lions job.

Blues were also today linked with McClaren, who has vowed to restore his battered reputation after overseeing England's failure to qualify for Euro 2008.

Meanwhile, Scottish FA chief executive Gordon Smith said any approaches for McLeish would be rebutted.

"Absolutely we'll be turning them down," he stressed. "We will not be letting Alex go anywhere.

"When it comes right down to it you have a scenario where the manager says, 'I'm going, there's nothing you can do about it,' and then you have to get into negotiations with the club.

"But we don't want that to happen."

    image rights?!?

    what the chuff for?

  4. he just said it on skysportsnews...

something like, "i have got a big fat rugby ball shaped head, and im an annoying scouse clearing in the woods, but even then, i wouldnt go to small heath... the ownership situation is a bit unstable.."

    or something like that...

  5. not overly bothered tbh...

we have nothing to gain and everything to lose by competing in one...

if we win, then that is what is expected of us...

if we lose, then we get mercilessly ribbed by the "small heath" mentality nations around us...

but it would be competetive football and a bit of interest from the nation...

  6. I don't think Mourinho will take it. The FA should really have no hesitations about getting on the blower to Capello.

the fact that they havent yet, despite his public interest, proves what **** idiots they are....

It's been like 10 hours since they sacked McClaren, I think it's a bit harsh to call them "**** idiots" because they haven't called Capello straight away, christ

    whats not to sort out?

ring him, and offer him the job....

    its a 10 minute job...
