  1. nope....

have said it since last summer that he could be easily replaced by anyone with a bit of composure, and neat sideways passing...

add some creativity and a bit of pace to the above, and we have improved on him...

if we got anything over 8 mil for him, with a year left on his contract, then we will have mugged whoever is stupid enough to pay it...

  2. it was a filthy flea ridden small heathen chav nobber...

mellor trying to hammer him with the ball afterwards is hilarious...

apparently, he ran off the pitch and tried to jump over the hoardings and while in mid air, he got clobbered by stewards and clattered into the hoardings with an almighty thump...

  3. General Krulak here:

    3. pablopicasso: I am not sure what to say about your comment. You obviously thought hard about your feelings and I respect that fact. You made some good points. I personally feel that MON probably has a little different take on the situation and is probably in a better situation to know what he has on the Pitch and on the bench. He also sees the lads in practice and develops a feel from that interaction. I think it is very hard to go against the logic of the man who is charged with laying out the game plan. I must disagree with your comment that we will "limp into 6th place." I am just not ready to make that sort of statement. We have games to go...games that we absolutely can win. I am for storming into 5th place and continuing to challange for 4th!! You just don't know what will happen with those teams above us right now.

i imagine martin o'neills thoughts are that our pace on the counter should help us in terms of sitting deep to try and protect what we have, however, that is proving not to be the case with players tired, and confidence low... so to invite the opposition onto us, in our current state, seems like footballing suicide, and is proving to be the case, over the past 3 months without a win...

now you know that i backed the manager over the eufa cup stance, and this current run could be seen as proving him correct in terms of the tiredness, however, it also shows how much we need to do for the next season, in terms of bringing people into the football club... especially with a few key players more than likely needing replacing...

as for "limping into 6th" versus "storming into 5th", i really hope that i am wrong and you are right...

  4. 3. general, with the greatest of respect, it does not take a genius to work out why we are throwing games away... it is so predictable that i actually did predict what would happen as soon as martin o'neill did what he did that is causing us these problems, and lo and behold, my prediction happened within 5 mins... we are brilliant going forward and taking the game to the opposition... thats how we get into strong positions in the first place, so it baffles me why we change what makes us so strong and sit deep and invite pressure onto ourselves within the last 15 - 20 mins of games, when we are in a strong position... it is heaping pressure on a very fragile defence, and why we are conceding so late... curtis davies obviously playing with the shoulder injury sustained against everton does not help either... not to mention his defensive partner not being much cop be it cuellar or knight, or players playing out of position because the manager does not either trust his own signings, or he hasnt replaced what he has let go...

as soon as milner was taken off yesterday, and we started sitting deep to protect what we had, the writing was on the wall and it was only a matter of time before a team that consisted of at least 3 youth team players, and a couple of players who have looked appauling in this league, scored against us... we had no one to blame but ourselves for what happened yesterday, and that is down to the manager....

it is getting beyond a joke, and i am really beginning to expect defeat, and the subsequent poor mood that comes from us throwing away points again because the manager keeps making the same predictable mistakes over and over...

i like the bloke and rate him as a manager, but he has to accept responsibility for his mistakes because they are ruining the good position that he put us into in the first place... and in the process, ruining what 'was', a very good season...

i dont mean to whinge, but i am very frustrated and angry at watching us throw away our season, while we limp into 6th place, at best...

i really can not see where a win will come from and to go nearly 3 months without a win, is not a great advert for season ticket sales, or for selling our club to new young fans...

  5. the beauty of ag, is she will be back on here over the next few days to take the ribbing after a defeat...

fair play to her for that... she is a welcome addition to the site...

unlike that gentleman who supports spurs... (but only when they are winning)...

  6. not confident at all now...

think we will finish 6th at best now tbh...

we have definately blown 4th in my opinion, and i just think that everton will now catch us for 5th spot...

we have lost our momentum, and those two have it on their side...

personally, i think that the media overly highlighting the eufa cup game (despite playing most of the same team in several games earlier in the competition), has added extra pressure on to us, and we are not coping with it well at all...

  10. General, with all due respect...

In light of the Man. Cities of the world blowing Villa's transfer idealogy out of the water do you think the time will soon be upon us when Villa need to be sold to a richer owner in order to compete financially?

    hell no...

i dont want us to be sold to the highest bidder and cheat our way to success by trying to prove we have the biggest cahoonas with the amount of cash we splash on the fanciest named players...

we are doing what we are doing with class, honour and dignity...

    the aston villa way...
