  1. ^^^^ Why if Ellis had a reason for suggesting it to him for release, say to improve his failing image within the club, and as usual it was premature, so much so O'Neil is so pissed he won't come at any cost, means Ellis has fked it again surely. When it gets like this its a virtual certainty O'Neil is the next manager every one reckons so and only Ellis' meanderings will stop it. Now its down to timing and as none of us, even me, don't know exactly what has been agreed, with bidders, with O'Neil, with Rothschilds its fruitless to speculate beyond he will be the next manager and we will have a new owner soon, Ellis clock is ticking, tick tock, tick, tock, not an alligator in sight
  2. No, can't be McClarens got the England job
  3. or maybe even Vinceros or what his name was again...the Venezuelan. it has to be said those guys looked like S.Americans
  4. of course not. i just keep guessing right
  5. Why not ??? Might even be a sixth, someone no one expected who has been looking longer than all the others, who may even be favourites and may now be in the lead. Now you are starting to see what I was on about last night when everyone was sure it was Lerner done and dusted, its far from that.
  6. I'd doubt they are even talking to each other let alone Tony Morley The only bloke who knows what's going on is Howell.
  7. Haven't Chelsea just done that this season? If Man Utd keep going its reckoned they have 75 mill to spend before September start. Depends on your level of ambition I suppose, whether your happy with a Neville bid or prefer a Still or Lerner super bid
  8. Depends on the agreement in place if he does and I do say IF. If all it does is confuse the issue of the takeover then I don't want it getting in the way. For starters it moves the balance again and certainly one if not two groups will review their options. Its one thing taking control from Ellis, its another to do so with the best offer for the club overall doing it
  9. My, My, aren't a huge amount of fans on here and elsewhere jumping the wrong gun. I suggest tears at twilight for sure, there will be a few more twists yet, Doug Ellis hasn't died and the one man who could do him real harm hasn't jumped ship................................yet
  10. Runetune If you are offering what they are, as with Lerner, you call whatever tune you want What most Villa fans fail to appreciate and Ellis does, is that when you have the money you call whatever tune you want, and there are plenty of clubs out there keen to be taken over, Villa happens to be the cheapest, thanks to the ruination Ellis has wrought All Ellis is doing by suggesting he will get O'Neil is to limit those who want to takeover, just as when given a fait accompli by Lerner he tried to change the goalposts in desperation. He's a total fkwit and should be releaved of control of the club, but no one has the guts,
  11. you reckon ?? what we don't have is a chairman who loves the club enough to accept a sensible offer.
  12. This cant be true, i was told in no uncertain terms yesterday by posters on here that these potential buyers were a figment of my imagination  Yes I've noticed some of those so keen to look back at past suggestions haven't been doing much of late. In fact they haven't been on much either.
  13. Doesn't that depend gentlemen OK a bid might be on the verge of being put in, but for all we know, there might be other bids in or going in, or as PB cleverly suggested someone might be looking to do it another way, and with the AGM a few weeks away and rumours of bids going in, and Ellis acting like he's just treading water carefully so as not to devalue any bid,now would be the ideal time to do it. What I think we all have to take note of is that its beginning to look like there is now more at stake than the eventual ownership of Villa. Enough said
  14. Definitely not. This was as big a shock to Neville as everyone else Caught everyone on the hop hasn't it
  15. Yes Nevilles contacts have started to use Murphy well ) I think this latest event has forced their hand though, and personally I think Neville might have jumped the gun again, we'll see.
  16. hee, hee, hee. Hang on there Ian, things are moving
  17. elaborate, well I shuffled the cards well and placed 12 on the table in 3 lots of 4...............
  18. Here's one for the Malc knockers to refer to at a later date the share price is likely to rise in the very near future on the back of two new bids. Do you think that Malcolm is a really a multi-billionaire businessman from the Middle East, South America or Norwich? Its much simpler than that sm. I have a pack of Tarot cards

  20. Its safe to say he was having some problems with his mental abilities, but they seem to have been improved by the fresh flow of blood since his ops and he now seems as good as many a coherent 82 year old.
  21. hasn't there been some board assurances on this at some time ?
  22. I'm sure someone can correct me, again, but when a similar question was asked last season after the HUGE expenditure on players the majority seemed to expect a high to midtable finish, thanks to the improvements made. Squad seems so far about the same as then, manager and coaching staff nearly the same, onlt the issues regarding Ellis have changed. Strange, has the normal over optimism been moderated by the various O'leary out and the players are rubbish campaigns. For the record, my opinion as of today, it may change by the time the transfer window has closed, remains the same as last year when the transfer window closed. We are short of players especially those of genuine quality and if we get a run of injuries or of off form players, O'leary and his team will struggle because the options from the bench remain far too limited. This time however, the corollary I added, that the optimism was completely unfounded in my opinion, can now be excluded, but you knew that didn't you.
  23. Brilliant Blandy I would suggest some are desperate to find a way to discredit Ellis enough to promote a method for his downfall. Its impossible of course he's the master at hiding the truth
