An absolute shocking performance, if it wasn't for Guzan, Collins and Dunne we would have been soundly beaten... Ratings: Guzan - 9 1/2 - Probably the single most incredible performance I have ever seen from a goalkeeper Cuellar - 5 - Awful, looks knackered after 20 minutes Collins - 7 - Some brilliant defensive headers and blocks Dunne - 7 - Ditto Warnock - 5 - Got ripped apart, his worst performance in a Villa shirt Milner - 6 - Average NRC - 6 - Gave the ball away too often, again Petrov - 6 - A worrying display from Stan A.Young - 5 - Going through an absolutlely shcoking period atm Gabby - 6 - Still our biggest goal threat Heskey - 7 - Suprisingly good! Subs: Delph - 6 - Sprayed some lovely long passes around Carew - 6 - Slightly better from the big un Sidwell - N/A - Can't remember!

Freidel - 7 - Recovered very well after his misjudgement for their goal Cuellar - 7 - Did well defensively but his distribution is awful Collins - 9 - Calm, assured, solid, goal-saving tackle. Scored the winner! Dunne - 8 - Great header for goal, kept Anelka quiet Warnock - 8 - The Luke Young of left-backs, another cracking display Milner - 8 - Worked so hard and never gave up, great challenge on Malouda in the 1st half Sidwell - 7 - Effective performance from the ginger ninja! Petrov - 8 - Looked a better player then Lampard A.Young - 7 - Disappointing 1st half but ran Ivanovic ragged when Bosingwa came off Big JC - 7 - Won nearly every header he went up for, needs a goal Gabby - 8 - Looked like an international striker, great stuff Sub: Heskey - 7 - Perhaps the wrong sub for MON to make, but deserves a 7 just for scaring the shit out of Ashley Cole in the corner!
